Positive: The host was a very kind, cheerful, helpful man. I was able to have an early breakfast on race day. He had good tips for local restaurants. The Chiltern Hills are a lovely destination to visit in the spring. Nice ambiance in the hotel.

Positive: Lovely comfortable bed, good linen and towels. Good shower. Very good breakfast in lovely breakfast with pretty garden to look at. Polite attentive, informative host. Interesting history of the building and its past connections. Great location.

Negative: Decorating needs updating and new curtains. It looked a little tired but wouldn’t want them to change the classic feel.

Positive: I had an absolutely amazing stay at this place! It’s very cute and British, in a beautiful building with garden, and the people are really lovely. The breakfast is also the best I’ve had in a very long time, and it’s all very allergen friendly. Can only recommend!

Negative: parking outside was an issue - lack of clear space allocation in a narrow area - and small lane allocated to the side very pot holed and muddy - again no clear space allocation
