The Home
Our lakefront home features 2 bedrooms, and 1 ½ baths. One bedroom features a queen bed, and the other features a full size bed. This sleeps 4 comfortably, and we are limiting the house rental to 4 people. The house has a large great room that overlooks the lake, with 4 big full patio doors/windows, so the lake view from the home is exceptional. The kitchen is large, with all the conveniences of home! The large deck, complete with table and chairs, and grill, overlooks the lake. This house is handicap friendly. There are no stairs getting into the home.
The Lake
Twin Lake is an approximately 650 acre all-sports lake with no public access, and only has about 25 homes on the lake. A large part of the lake is State land frontage and we are directly across from this – so you see no homes when you look straight across the lake, from our home. It is a very private lake!
Items on our property
We have an aluminum fishing boat, 2 kayaks and a canoe. It is a great fishing lake, and the perfect size lake for kayaking. There is a bonfire pit right by the water - perfect for late night gatherings! Get a game of volleyball going, relax in the hammock, or just sit in the beach chairs and read. We have a 2 car garage that you can store your gear in.
Other things to do
You will find that you won’t want to leave this great lakefront home, but if you do – there are lots of restaurants, shopping, and other fun attractions all within 20 minutes away. There is great golf nearby, and we are situated right by St. Helen's ORV trails (hundreds of miles of groomed trails which provide ample riding area for the Off Road Vehicle or snowmobile enthusiasts!)
Our home can be enjoyed ANY season! We have a wood burning fireplace for those cool Fall evenings, and of course, a full furnace, for the wintertime. It is just beautiful any time of the year! on up, and enjoy a "home away from home"!

Summary: The place was clean and spacious for the 4 of us. Loved the quiet lake and nice beach with boats to play in. Fishing was great. Washer and dryer always helpful. Kids would have liked to have wifi but we survived! Could have done without the construction noise next door but once you got on the lake that disappeared. I think a return trip may be in order!

Summary: Perfect little getaway especially during these stressful times. It felt like we had the lake to ourselves, enjoyed the kayaks and fishing boat. The kids swam, played in sand everyday, and lakeside bonfires to end each night! House was very clean on arrival, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and a nice gas grill. We will definitely be back!

Summary: This home was so comfortable and so clean! My family had an absolute blast!Having the lake right in the backyard was great. Lake was great for swimming. It is listed that property sleeps 4, but could actually fit 8 comfortably. Neighbors were friendly. Overall a fantastic experience. Summary: My family had such a great relaxing week! We enjoyed the sandy beach, row boat and kayaks almost every day! My kids also enjoyed catching fish easily off of the dock. At night we enjoyed s’mores around the bonfire. We plan on returning yearly!! It was also a perfect house for someone who is in a wheelchair! We made so many memories here. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Summary: Amazing! Our stay was relaxing and fun. The kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and sunbathing. The grandparents enjoyed the flat even ground to the water. This allowed them the chance to watch their grand kids have fun. The cabin was spacious and fit our family well. The lake was fun to boat and kayak on. Everyone stayed busy and had a wonderful time.

Summary: I just happened to stumble on to this property by blind luck. You cannot go wrong with this property if you're looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy what Michigan has to offer. The pictures do not do justice. The cottage is very spacious and has everything you could need or want. It's clean cozy and gives you the feeling of being at home. The lake is gorgeous and the view across the lake is amazing as there are no homes across from the cottage. The water is clean and a delight to splash around in. If you like fishing you can pull em out one after another from the dock or from one of the boats that are also included for your use. I couldn't have had a better time. Needless to say I will be returning. An added bonus is that the owner is just as amazing as she was so helpful to answer any questions I had. You can't lose with this cottage. Enjoy!
