Positive: Loved the village, shop/cafe, view from the lodge, resident animals, the hot tub.
Negative: The fact that the lodge backed on to a haulage yard housing heavy plant machinery. The lorries started their engines directly behind the lodge every morning before 7am (except Sunday) which rather spoiled our holiday. We had chosen the lodge because it was supposed to be peaceful but it definitely was not and it made having a lie in rather impossible.

Positive: Our stay at Westfield Lodge was wonderful. It’s very nice, quiet, and peaceful place with lovely views. The hot tub is a big plus! Kay is an amazing host—she welcomed us and showed us around. The welcome pack was full of goodies, and we appreciated the little touches. We also loved the neighbors: a donkey, some chickens, and sheep!

Positive: Lovely place, great shower and a big plus to have a hot tub that was ready on day of arrival. The view from the lodge was fantastic and great for a quiet getaway. Owner has thought about providing for the hot tub with plenty of extra towels, blankets and a warm throwover.
Negative: living room area was a bit of an odd setup with 2 single chairs and a squeezed in table for eating at. Just lacked somewhere to cosy up at in the evenings.

Positive: The location us absolutely stunning and the neighbours were very courteous and quiet, which was surprising considering they consisted of chickens, a rooster, sheep and a donkey! The lodge was very comfortable & we enjoyed the hot tub, even though the weather wasn't great. The host was lovely, she greeted us upon arrival, making sure we knew where everything was and how to use them. The hooded robes, extra blankets/throws and towels were a nice touch too.
Negative: There is no WiFi, although it is advertised.
Summary: Excellent - Definitely recommend!

Positive: The lodge is perfect for a couples getaway. The interior design is amazing, very unique. The location is great, very quiet and relaxing but a short drive from York and a number of stunning villages. The host made the holiday for us though, Kay was great and the attention to detail was outstanding. We've been on a number of holidays and this was a stand out. Can't wait to be back.
