Positive: Was a stop over on the way to Connemara. Family size room was great size, clean and comfy bed. Host was super attentive for breakfast the next morning and nothing too much to ask. Filled up flask and snacks for onward journey.

Positive: The beds were comfortable and the location was good.
Negative: As others have found, it was necessary to hang around for about 20 minutes for the proprietor to turn up although we were there at the agreed time. Apparently she also runs a pub and has young children so presumably her times is stretched over all these. The shower room was poor, dim lighting, a shaver light over the sink which did not appear to be working. The toilet roll holder was right above the cistern, so only a contortionist could reach it. Neither of us are one so we had to have a loose roll in front of us. The bin in there was full and wasn't emptied in during our 6 night stay. There was no room service to speak of other than one change of towels. We emptied our own bins other than the shower room one which we didn't touch. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but we were informed we could use those in the downstairs dining room. We didn't bother as it was in use a lot of the time. nor did we wish to take the drinks upstairs. Particularly difficult for me because of arthritic problems. . We can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there. There is no lift but a ramp from the outside to the entrance door. Whether there are downstairs bedrooms I don't know. It offers economical accommodation in a small village with some facilities and in easy reach of Longford, which is much bigger and has a railway station & service to Dublin. It didn't really offer the range of facilities we like and we won't be staying here again, but it is reasonably priced.

Positive: Marilyn was easygoing and helpful, and made check-in super convenient and flexible, as I was unsure how my plans were going to go. Quiet stay with not a peep heard from others even though it was a full house. Perfect price for a simple, clean accommodation. Next to a beautiful archway leading into the Strokestown Park House and gardens. Great location just off the main road.

Positive: Flexibility, friendliness of reception, warm, clean, hot water, proximity to Strokestown HOuse and grounds/Sligo/The West of Ireland/plenty of restaurants and bars in Strokestown/next door to best local supermarket in the area.
Negative: The B&B is large, and dates from a previous era, which gives it charm, but it is not modern luxury, more the feel of a comfortable old country house.
Summary: Great value for Money, Marylyn and Gerry are wonderful hosts, lovely area to visit.
