Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location was good with lovely views. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay. Room was comfortable and facilities were good.
Negative: We chose this venue because it stated Check-in from13.00 and we intended to spend the afternoon chilling out in the room and the lovely garden after our long drive. However, the room wasn’t ready and we were told the return at 15.00 when our room would be ready. So we then had to drive into town which we really didn’t want to do. We were also told that we would have to park our car outside the main gate to the property because workmen were coming at 07.30 the following morning to carry out electrical work, which meant closing the driveway up to the house. I was not happy about leaving my car on a grass verge at the side of an unlit country road but I had no choice. Although the accommodation and food was good, we never felt relaxed due to the concern for our car overnight and we feel that some gesture of good will would have been welcome for the inconvenience we experienced. spend
Summary: It would have been an excellent had we not been met with the problems I have highlighted.

Positive: Virtually everything was perfect. Such a relaxing, quiet location
Negative: This is NOT the venue's fault but work was being done on the driveway (utilities I believe) so had to get up before 7am to park my vehicle on the grass verge next to the road or I'd be unable to move it until work completed.. There was enough space to park 3 vehicles on the verge but 2 were parked with a lack of consideration of anyone else so I had to park on a bend literally touching the hedge to get it off the road.

Positive: Good breakfast choices made with good ingredients. Room comfortable with great views across fields. Not too warm despite the extreme heat. Supplied fan worked well. Great games room in the basement for pool, darts and air hockey
Negative: When bedroom windows are open to allow night time cooling, they rattle a lot in the wind. Solution is to wedge cushion into the opening.
Summary: The owner was very helpful and went out of her way to make our stay the best

Positive: 1. The attention that was provided by the owner, staff to my requests was really excellent. They tried to make my stay comfortable. Really pleased. 2. The views outside were really fabulous. 3. I was initially given a room (the first room to the left as you enter) which was very nice. Nice layout and bathroom. Great view from the window. Loved it till someone occupied the room above, and then the noise was too much.
Negative: Creaky floors, little noise insulation from the room above and the corridor. Sought a change of room which was provided, and that room was very quiet. However the second room had furniture that was inaccessible and arranged as a store room. A small TV, and that too on the floor above. Creaky furniture.
Summary: Welcoming and attentive staff/owner, nice location, creaky floors, poor furniture

Positive: Gorgeous location and a super building. We loved our room with its beams and stylish decor.
Negative: Very, very little. But we stupidly mis- understood breakfast times, arriving at 9:05. The girl looking after is, before taking breakfast order told us we were late and it’s 930 at weekends but dying on weekdays. She didn’t really need to say that there was no one else there and I’m not sure they had had any bookings for the evening before, so why make us feel so uncomfortable. Also on leaving there was no one around but just as we put our key on the table, the same young girl came out of the kitchen, looked at us and completely ignored the fact that we were just about to leave. Such a b no sleep there was no goodbye. Hope you’ve had a good day to come again Whatever Such a shame it’s a beautiful place. And a great breakfast.
Summary: Lovely place, fab rooms and breakfast. A little staff training needed.
