Positive: The barn was at the end of a dirt track with spacious parking. The interior design was quirky, lovely cottage. The kitchen was well equipped with milk in the fridge and a few dried goods in the cupboard. The double sofa bed in the lounge meant my teenage daughter was able to have her own room. Seating area outside lovely for outdoor breakfast.
Negative: Being in the middle of nowhere, the barn was prone to spiders, despite being very clean, which the kids didn’t like. No tv, but we were out every night so not an issue.
Summary: Great spot to recharge

Positive: Great location, off the beaten track so best to stay in in the evenings and make the most of the hot tub. Lovely walks to pubs and cafes, including Cotswolds Distillery, during the day though. Quirky and comfy a good fun place to stay with kids for a couple of days.
Negative: Obviously out in the countryside meant a few spiders etc around and about the house! Also the WiFi is very patchy and there is no TV or a microwave. This was all fine for us but best to be aware that it is a great away from it all spot but with the obvious limitations.
Summary: Beautiful location, lovely quirky property with comfy beds and a good shower.

Positive: Location and setting were just fantastic. Peaceful, remote and such a beautiful place. The barn itself is wonderful - everything is well thought out, designed beautifully and in keeping with the quirkiness and age of the building. On a practical note it pretty much had everything we needed for a few nights stay (we have a toddler and brought our dog too). The absence of a tv was welcome. The hot tub outside was a lovely touch, as was the bbq and the open space outdoors that had been cut out in the long grass.
Negative: There wasn’t much we didn’t like! Being very picky it would have been helpful to have a small freezer space in the fridge (it was exceptionally hot weather when we visited and it would have meant we could freeze ice packs for our picnic bag on days out) - but we did manage without. There were a few flies that persisted inside with it being so hot and the countryside, so a fly swat would have been handy, but I’m splitting hairs!
Summary: Absolute wonderful. We will be visiting again!

Positive: Lovely location. Nice and quiet. Lovely to have the hot tub and wild sauna. Very nicely restored. Good access to towns etc and Burford.
Negative: No comfy chairs for outside relaxing. Just wooden and a bench table. Would have made our stay much more comfortable . Internet issues, but that was sorted quickly by Tom and Lucy who are lovely.
Summary: Lovely location, good hosts, but needs more comfy seating outdoors
