3 Bedroom House in Whiritoa

Great beach house. Quiet location, across road from lagoon and beach. It's basic, but fully-equipped, and (fairly) recently renovated.
We love it, but also make it available to guests for 6-8 weeks a year, when we can't be there ourselves.
Note that after it's been booked for 8 weeks we don't take any more bookings. Sorry.
The house can comfortably sleep 8 (including 4 children on the bunks).
2 double bedrooms upstairs. Large 'kids' room downstairs (2 bunks (for up to 4 children)).
Bathroom & separate WC upstairs. WC / sink downstairs. Outside shower (enclosed, with hot water).
Fully equipped kitchen: oven, hob, dishwasher, breakfast bar, Italian coffee machine & grinder. ‘Drinks’ fridge in storage area under house.
Sitting area & TV upstairs. Glass doors slide completely open (in sitting / living area & in kitchen). WiFi.
TV in downstairs bedroom.
Fully-equipped laundry: W-M, dryer.
Heat pump for winter. AC for summer (but obviously better just to open all the windows …)
Deck overlooks beach / lagoon / reserve. Weber Barbecue, heater, & lighting on the deck.
Double & single kayak. Bike/s also available. Tennis courts also in the village (we have a key to the courts).
Whiritoa is a beautiful, quiet, friendly village. The surf club & dairy (ie shop) are 2 minutes up the road. Dairy does essentials plus ice-cream & some food.
Supermarket (& large-ish town) 12 minutes drive in Whangamata. Waihi (Karangahake gorge etc) in other direction.
We don’t make it available very much. We just ask that guests treat the place well.
It's a kiwi bach, not a hotel. We leave some of our stuff there - books, spreads & condiments in fridge, cooking ingredients, perhaps some stuff in freezer, cleaning stuff, some stuff in bathroom/s etc - but there's plenty of room for your stuff. We ask that guests replace anything they use.
There are towels & linen there, but there will be an additional cost for that (to cover cleaning costs etc). We charge $25 pp.
The listing price assumes only 1 family is staying. If there's another family staying, we charge a further 50% of the cost to cover additional use, wear & tear etc.
We charge a cleaning fee at the end.

Summary: Just amazing, Bach, Host, Location, Facilities and Weather! Really enjoyed our 2nd stay in this Bach, the set up is great, just a fabtartic place to unwind and chill out. Loved the convenience of the outdoor shower and the view from the deck is superb. Thankyou for letting us stay a second time.

Summary: It took us city folk a couple of days to relax, and this was the perfect place to do it. The view from the front room and deck is fabulous, it has prime location across the road from the beach and the estuary, which was a fantastic place for the little ones to get used to the sea. We used Nic's kayak in the wetland area out the back of Whiritoa and our three year old had his life changed forever as he spotted heron's, shags and godwits. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortably housed three generations (us, the in laws and two babas). There isn't much more I can say, it's a great spot, a lux beach house and we would like to come back.

Summary: Absolutely fantastic Location, across from the lagoon and under 10mins walk to the surf life saving patrolled beach. Super comfy beds, really well equipped bach, awesome outdoor shower, beautiful views. Owners were great to deal with, highly recommended.

Summary: We had a great family holiday here - a fantastic spot, just across from the lagoon (estuary), and a walk down the beach to the surf club. The house has a bach feel but in contemporary style, well designed and appointed, every bit as good as the photos suggest, and Nic was helpful and responsive. A great experience.

Summary: We had the best time in Whiritoa! The house has everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. The kitchen fills with morning light, the sliding glass doors open to beautiful sunrises, sunsets, rainbows and ocean breezes. Our boys loved the bunk beds and the outdoor shower and we loved sitting on the deck with a glass of wine in the afternoon. The owner is super easy to communicate with, quick to respond and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I would highly recommend spending your holiday here! Thank you so much Nic.
