Positive: Our stay at the hotel was great. We stayed for 4 nights and Lucas helped us planning all our tours and even booked them for us. When we were in need of snacks he drove us to the nearest convenience store. Also, he is always available over WeChat and answers really quickly. It is great that the hotel has its own kitchen because there are no other restaurants near the hotel. Their menu has plenty of continental options and the ones we tried tasted great.

Positive: The staff was amazing, Ethan and the other guy (I wish I remembered his name) helped so much!! We were on a tight schedule and they made everything easy for us making sure our visits to the “Avatar” forest and Tianzi mountain were perfect, we would have missed out so much without their help! Thank you so much guys 🩷 Also, the breakfast is delicious!!! And the Mountain View from the room is stunning 🥰

Positive: Ι have never met a more helpful person than Lucas, our host! He arranged all of our trips so that we make it on time (to the glass bridge, the national forest park and tianmen mountain. He arranged every ticket and made notes on the maps with every little detail and we always knew what to do (buses, cable cars, where to walk etc) He helped us out with a problem we had with a flight ticket (he wasted almost an hour just to help us on this!) They also have a pick-up and drop-off service from the airport and wherever you want which saved us so much time and confusion! Everyone else in the hotel is also really kind and always smiling and doing the best for all of the guests! Food on the balcony was a great experience too! About our room: The matress was soooo comforable! The view of the mountains was really beautiful and waking up with that view; nothing compares to it! That was the most beautiful stay for us ❤️ *the photos are the views from our room and the balcony where we had our breakfast and dinner

Positive: Even before we arrived at Whispering Mountains, we knew we were going to be looked after as Lucas and Eason checked in with us to see if we needed assistance with planning our visit to Zhangjiajie and if we needed airport transfers. Without these guys, we would not have had the trip we had. The hotel is located just a couple of minutes walk/drive away from the West Gate which was perfect because the crowds were so low. The guys went above and beyond! We had an issue with the neighbours rooster outside our window that woke us up on our first 2 nights and by our 3rd day, they had built a hut for it, further away for the hotel - that is customer service and incredibly amazing! The rooms were BEAUTIFUL and so comfortable. They were also a very big size so perfect for all our luggage. Would love to see the buzz of the place in the Summer. All in all, we would highly recommend this accommodation in Zhangjiajie. It was exactly what we needed for our trip and again a huge shout out to Lucas & Eason - you are fantastic at what you do!
Negative: I'll be honest - the hotel itself does give us more hostel vibes than hotel. There seemed to be no heating in the common areas so we found it pretty cold for our stay. Also the dining area needs more atmosphere (some background music would be nice). But these were minor details which did not have a huge impact on our stay.

Positive: Dont’t hesitate, just book this accomodation! Because of the proximity to the west entrance you’ll be able to visit the park without waiting for cablecars or elevator. Lucas made us a 3d/4n trip (2 days Zhanjiajie, 1 day tianmen) and we think we’ve seen it all as this is something you only do once in a lifetime. Food in the hotel is great and enough variety to not get bored on day 3. Thank you Lucas and staff.

Positive: Everything was great. If you want sightseeing at the park and get the best advices how make it quickly, without crowds and best cost price you are welcome this hotel and those guys. We visited two days Avatar park, Glass bridge and Yellow dragon cave with private driver for only 300 usd for 3 persons. The only bad thing is that - due to the close location to the entrance of the park there was nowhere to go out in the evening but if you need to go to some shop or else they kindly provide a free help to take you to the village. The breakfast and dinners were also tasty with reasonable price. So in a word we highly recommend that hotel for visiting the park.

Positive: Lucas was fantastic at getting us tickets and planning our daily itinerary for visiting the nearby Zhangjiajie national park and TianMen mountain. He was also helpful in providing a vegan breakfast option and including tofu for me on the dinner menu. The food was very tasty. The hotel is very well located for the national park and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. We found our rooms to be clean and the beds comfortable.
Negative: As it is a rural area, I recommend that you bring earplugs as the roosters are very noisy in the mornings.
Summary: A perfect location from which to visit Zhangjiajie national park with exceptional hotel staff.
