Positive: Accommodation was tastefully decorated in a rustic style. Attentive host produced some excellent meals. Wonderful stay. Rooms were comfortable.
Negative: Unfortunately, the weather turned stormy while we were there and was blowing a cold draught through the door. A door snake or draft stopper seal would be an ideal foil to keep the living room comfortable.

Positive: I stayed at Whistling Thrush Cottage in Pattiopla for one night and absolutely loved it. The service was excellent, the staff were warm and welcoming, and everything was perfectly arranged. The cottage was cozy, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature — a peaceful escape from the city. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

Positive: Located very close to the world's end 300m from Pattipola station Closest town is Pattipola Spacious car park available The environment is calm and quiet very cold Rooms are clean and spacious Staff was nice and friendly You can watch whistling thrush from the cottage early in the morning
Negative: Inside beauty you can't see out side WiFi is not working properly

Positive: Location (15min to Horton Plains), spacious rooms, friendly staff. Having our morning coffee ready by 4:30am and packed breakfast by 5:15am has to be appreciated.
Negative: When fully booked, staff seemed stretched. Some attention to comforts like dry replacement towels, reliable hot water and tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms is needed (and expected for this price).
Summary: Convenient for Horton Plains and generally comfortable, but expect better for the price paid.
