Welcome to Whitecaps on Lake Superior! This beautiful hand crafted 3200 square foot home is sitting on 12 acres of private land with 340 feet of private shoreline to enjoy. The house faces the southeast for beautiful sunrises and is only feet from Lake Superior. The house was built in 2008 and features modern chefs kitchen with large island, large dining room with beautiful oak table, large living room with rock wood fireplace, and great views!
Our home sleeps 8 people with three bedrooms. Our master suite is upstairs facing the lake with large windows in front of the king sized bed. The master suite also features a walk-in closet, large bathroom with double sinks, walk-in shower, and large soaking tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is facing the lake on the main floor with a large bathroom across the hall. Main floor bathroom has large soaking tub and walk in shower. Our third bedroom has two twin built in beds and is on the second floor. This bedroom is facing south and has a view of Lake Superior.
You can enjoy a fire in our fire pit next to the lake or hang out in the screened in gazebo next to the water and listen to the waves. We are located about 20 miles up the shore from Duluth and about 5 miles before Two Harbors. This puts us in a great location to enjoy shopping in Canal Park or head up the shore to the many state parks close by.

Summary: This property was absolutely gorgeous. It was perfectly located right on the water, and the inside was meticulously kept. You truly felt as if you were living on the water when sitting in the living room or enjoying the wonderful master suit. The kitchen was also well-appointed, and so great place to cook a dinner for a family. The only downside was that I was unaware that there would be other guest staying in a smaller house located on the same property, which made the property less private. That said, the other guests were extremely respectful. The property is located on a rocky outcropping, which means I would recommend it for wading or enjoying a good book by the water. Even though we couldn't swim there, my kids truly enjoyed playing among the rocks. Overall, a great stay!

Summary: This was a wonderful place for a short summer getaway. Loved the entire home, location, and feel of the property. Hosts were easy to communicate with and helpful upon check-in. I would definitely recommend this for others and would love to stay here again.

Summary: This place exceeded our expectations. The building was beautiful, the view was stunning, it was meticulously maintained, great privacy and a very friendly owner who made herself available for us when necessary. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Gorgeous kitchen with all the tools and appliances a cook needs. Such an awesome rental experience on stunning Lake Superior. This is a gem!

Summary: This house and location are simply amazing! The website photos don't do it justice. The views of the lake are spectacular. We didn't want to leave. We looked forward to having coffee each morning in the master bedroom while enjoying the sounds and views of the waves. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The kids enjoyed the AppleTV and comfy living room furniture. The property is a mere few feet away from the lake and we enjoyed walking the shore and sitting on the rocks, while enjoying the rolling waves. It was a very quiet and peaceful place to enjoy family time. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. We were fortunate enough to meet both property owners and let them know how much we enjoyed their property and hope to make it an annual vacation. Thank you Chris and Kendra for creating such a wonderful memory for us! What a truly unique and lovely property. This is a true North Shore gem!!

Summary: The weather may have been off, but this place made up for that! Stunning views of the lake, sun rises, and the wave crashing to shore replaced my sound machine with nature! Met Chris at the house for a quick check in an tour- super helpful. With the wind, unable to enjoy a fire at lakeside. Just a little off to get a call Sunday AM making sure we didn’t have more than 8 people (we had 4 cars in the driveway). My daughters both drove up separately and 1 boyfriend + sister made 6. Other couple left bearly in the day-so max of 8. Was bummed about this- left a bad taste. Otherwise, perfect stay.

Summary: Whitecaps is a beautiful home right at the water's edge. Amazing views from most rooms. Kitchen was very well appointed with quality cooking and eating utensils, glassware and appliances. Owners were very responsive. Home was clean and well stocked. We left only for supplies, and emjoyed every minute of our stay. We experienced gales of November, gorgeous sunrises and a calm sea, all in the same long weekend. We hope we have a chance to stay at this amazing home again!
