Negative: Two of us stayed at courtyard cottage for four nights and found it adequate , however, the property has the longest list of do,s and don’ts that I have ever experienced. As requested I provided the names and addresses of both guests (three times) but after checkout I was contacted by the owner and accused of having had a third person in the property! Why she thought that I would have done that is a mystery to me, apparently housekeeper had said that all three beds were used? Simply not true, and if she checked her doorbell footage she would see that there were only ever two of us entering and leaving the cottage. Very unprofessional to accuse a guest of lying? Neighbour was very noisy, started car up outside the cottage at 6.am every morning and left it running for 20 mins before leaving. Living area is very small with just a sofa and a wooden table and chairs, would not be enough space for a family to be comfortable We left the property exactly as we found it , and followed all of the rules as requested but asking guests to strip the bedding before departure is unacceptable and something that I’ve never been asked to do before. Overall I think that the owner needs to check her attitude to paying guests and there will be no repeat bookings from me. ?

Positive: The location was ideal for a short walk into St Neots. One mattress was comfortable.

Negative: This appartment is not what I would class as ‘Luxury’ especially at £168 per night! The heating is locked so cannot increase temperature or turn it on when cold. Therefore, we were very cold in the evening and during the night. The duvets are very thin and not summer/winter duvets. Furnishings are basic and there were no curtains throughout the property. Just blinds which again, curtains would have helped to keep any heat in! No radiator or heating in the bathroom. Towels were old and thread bare and brown in colour! Bedding was not white so could not see if it was clean! Used shower gel left in shower for guests to use! Very old and tired rug in lounge Very little water pressure for shower or kitchen tap. Kettle read thick with limescale and any tea, sugar coffee left for us to use were the remnants of previous guests in dirty containers. Dust, dirt and cob webs behind furnishings and the outside area where you should be able to sit and watch the boats etc. was not worth even opening the door for! Outside chairs were filthy and there were weeds and waste everywhere. The arrival instructions sent via text were extremely lengthy and quite strict. The instructions on departure were the same but also included asking us to strip the beds, take all rubbish out to the communal bins etc. So basically doing the cleaners job for the next guests. Not very appropriate if you are elderly or disabled. Arrival time of 4pm is too late and departure time of 10am is too early! Especially when you expect your guests to do the cleaners job for you. So, all in all, extremely disappointed and will definitely not be staying again. Cannot comment on the owners as we never saw them and never spoke with them via phone. Oh, also forgot, some milk in the fridge would have been a nice touch on arrival.

Positive: It's in an amazing location; removed enough from the city, yet close enough to walk to everything you need. Right on the water with lots of swans and ducks swimming by. Very clean with modern amenities. The owners were very responsive when we contacted them and quite cheerful. We would stay here again, without question.

Positive: Lovely apartment, in a quiet spot overlooking an outlet of the river. Free parking right outside. Fantastic location a minutes walk from to market square. Apartment fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Outside area with table, seating and BBQ, would be fantastic on a summers evening, though we went in December, so did not use the outside space. Met the owners who were at another holiday let and they were a very friendly couple. Amazing
