Positive: The lodge is stunningly situated and ideal for a perfect rest. If you are however planning on exploring the country, Wide Horizons is about an hours' drive away from tar roads with no shops, filling stations etc in the near vicinity. I however, loved it.
Negative: There was nothing really to dislike. A heater would probably be a good idea in winter and when the power went off for a few hours, the paraffin lamp caused me an asthma attack.
Summary: A great relaxing place with friendly staff.

Positive: Amazing view from the cabin (basically from the bed too). Outdoor shower was fun. Very friendly staff. Great hikes in the surroundings (especially the Summit trail), well maintained, marked perfectly on google maps.
Negative: Catering opportunity would have been nice, not to have to carry groceries and cook, but by design this is not part of the property, so not a major disturbance.

Positive: We really loved this stay. The photos don’t do this property enough justice, it was absolutely gorgeous. The finishings were well thought-out and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We enjoyed the hiking trails and natural swimming pool and wish we could have stayed longer.
Negative: The drive along the gravel road was a bit gnarly, but fine
