Summary: Smaller then what I expected from the pictures, but still plenty of room for a larger group to sleep. The boat we were looking forward to taking out was out of commission and we were only told after we got there. The water in the house smelled like rotten eggs due to some issue with the hot water heater so that was gross. Drank bottled water all weekend and didn't get to wash my clothes at all. My husband and I are from the city so regardless we were happy to stay in a smaller town and enjoyed kayak and hiking in the area. Would not recommend for longer stays until the water issue gets fixed, but for a few days it was nice.

Summary: Very clean and calming property. We spent a few days away from it all at the house and enjoyed hiking, cooking and quiet environment. The owners are very nice and respond right away. Lake is beautiful and we really enjoyed the boat ride that owner gave us. House is stocked with everything you can think of for resting, cooking and relaxing. I would recommend this property for your stay!

Summary: Clean, comfortable and charming. Beautiful location, a really relaxing time spent at the cottage. The hosts were easy to communicate with and if we could have controlled the weather it would have been an exceptional stay.

Summary: Such a nice and cozy place to stay at. Peggy’s communication was great and everything was stocked very well. We really enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and camp fires. It gave us the up north feel that we wanted. Restaurants and stores were conveniently close in Gladwin. Loved having the family time and the bonus of bringing our dog.

Summary: We just loved our stay at this beautiful lakefront cabin! We enjoyed the lake every day: kayaking (all 4 of us could go at the same time), swimming, and having fun on the rope swing! We also enjoyed reading and having s’mores by the lake. The owners live next door and are super nice! The cabin is well-stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed daily walks around the neighborhood filled with friendly people. Gladwin County Parks and Rec is nearby with beautiful trails in the woods. There is also a nice paved trail by the Platte River on the south end of Gladwin. Mr. M’s Pizza had delicious food! Also, the Chicago style deep dish at the Backdoor Deli was amazing! We took a day trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes and it was worth the drive! Hiked the dune climb, went on the scenic drive, and brought our own tubes for tubing on the Platte River (shallow and gentle). You can park 2/3 of a mile from Platte River Beach Parking, tube down the river for 1 hour, and send someone back for the car. We loved our family time on this fantastic vacation!

Summary: Gorgeous property Beautiful waterfront view Shaded deck Fishing from pier Super comfortable bed STRONG INTERNET Good water pressure in shower Dishwasher, garbage disposal, and gas stove Amazing owners (neighbors) kind and generous - gave us a guided tour on their pontoon boat of Wiggins Lake Corner store ice cream was so good! Convenient, clean Family Fair grocery store Could go on and on….you need to stay here!

Summary: My sister and I plan a weeklong get away every year. Each time, we try to find a place on the water with a nice cabin feel atmosphere. This definitely has that and all the accommodations one would have at home. Fully stocked home with dishes, towels, and so much more. It also seems to be one of the few cottages that has air conditioning and a reasonable price compared to other similar locations and many with less accommodations. Plus pet friendly. The owners are sweet, and are immediately available if there are any needs or problems. I would highly recommend others to consider this as their vacation destination.
