Experience tranquility solo or enjoy gatherings here. This gorgeous log home was built for panoramic views and to experience life off the beaten path. Once an operating farmette, the love poured into this space radiates. Surrounded by pine logs inside, you'll find unique features like a barn door honoring the homes' history, a "secret" hiding space, antiques and a handmade, black walnut table for gathering. Absorb yourself in the serenity of the space or venture out for hiking, wineries/breweries, amazing eateries, live music, theaters, museums and more in the nearby Finger Lakes region!
The space
This home sits atop a hill with beautiful views of the valley and surrounding hillsides. Each season offers a unique splendor of color and experience in the natural surroundings. It has a long driveway that requires AWD/4WD during the winter. During the warmer months, there's a campfire area stocked with wood. Year-round, there are trails that can be enjoyed on foot or skiis / snow shoes. Inside, there are three floors: two with full bathrooms and one with a large loft with sitting and sleeping space. The kitchen has a double oven, cooktop, full size refrigerator, dishwasher and plenty of counter space. The kitchen, dining room and great room are all open with high ceilings and bright, natural light flooding in through windows and skylights.

Guests will be able to access all three floors of the house, including two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the bottom floor, the entire main floor (including a master bedroom and bathroom) and a third floor loft.

Summary: Our host(ess) was very responsive to requests & questions & the Lodge is beautifully situated on top of a very private & quiet setting. The accommodations were comfortable & clean. My group had a very good time. The one thing each of the 4 guests pointed out was that the condition of the road leading up to the cabin (The Long Private Drive Path) could be better maintained to make it accessible to low clearance vehicles

Summary: We loved our stay in this log cabin! While the listing does say it sleeps 10, there are only ~3 beds in the property - definitely bring your own airbeds. The outdoor property is fantastic and the host's communication was great! Thanks for having us!

Summary: The Wild Wind Lodge is a beautiful setting. We did not realize that the driveway is pretty rough and rutted gravel. There is no AC, but with the windows open you can get a nice breeze. There is no WiFi, but cell coverage was okay. The bed in the master bedroom is a very comfortable queen bed. The views are stunning! Our host, Jackie, was very communicative and accommodating. Summary: This location exceeded our expectations by far and was the perfect “hidden gem” for our long weekend spending time with friends! The house is positively gorgeous with a cabin-y feel while holding more than enough space for our group. The location of the home provides for privacy and a scenic peacefulness you can only find in the country while still being reasonably located to not have to drive far to get to restaurants, and in our case, Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region. The house at night is a dream and open areas allow for group activities (in our case, game nights!). Jackie is an excellent host who answered our questions promptly prior to our trip and cares for the house in a way that allows for all necessities to be provided during the duration of the stay. Jackie, thanks for everything! We positively adored your house and had an incredible trip!

Summary: I led a small group retreat at Wild Wind Lodge this week. The entire process was delightful. We booked several months ago. Weather nearly derailed our plans - you know - March in CNY. The owner was perfectly willing to adjust our scheduling if necessary. Luckily, it was not. She checked in with us a couple of times to see if we needed anything, and was very quick to respond to questions. As the photos show, the place is stunningly beautiful inside. Lots of local art and wellness pieces have been used to further the feeling of peace and well-being. There are several beds, spread out over all 3 floors, so groups can spend time together in the common room all day, as we did, and then get some privacy at night. We also ran into Ithaca one night for supper and shopping. Even though the Lodge is located "in the country", it's not too far out from the city. I could go on, but y'all are probably wishing I'd finish. So I will.. with this statement. If you're looking for a place to get away, for whatever reason, look at Wild Wind Lodge.
