Positive: Place was clean and warm with plenty of amenities in the kitchen. Ideal for a 2-night stay. Location was remote but lovely.
Negative: The single bed wasn't comfortable and every time I moved the springs made an irritating noise. Changing these to springless mattresses would have made this stay 10/10.

Positive: The location was perfect for us. The grounds were beautiful to walk around on an evening and so peaceful. It was our first time visiting the lakes and it was lovely and this property was ideal for us, we couldn't fault it, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We would definitely return as we had a great time.

Positive: Nice location. Grounds of estate were beautiful. Everything we needed was in the cottage.
Negative: Washing machine was broken. Loose basin tap. Bathroom door was really difficult to open. Lots of dog hair on chairs which I had to hoover when I arrived.

Positive: The house is set in an exceptional location which is very scenic. Indeed, the Cottage has access to the grounds and facilities of the Hall (including it's bar with outside seating). The Hall has pheasants and hens also. It is a charming location. The kitchen was very well equipped. The upper floor was freshly redecorated recently.
Negative: The key box is old and rather stiff to open perhaps due for replacement. The main bed was lumpy (I used a spare duvet as a mattress topper, but suggest the owner invest in a good mattress topper or new matress as sleep quality is important). The house is one of a row, and our neighbours were very drunken and noisy which slightly marred the experience. So if getting peace is your priority this might not be for you.... I suspect it is cold in winter as it only has storage heaters and a stove. The Wi-fi didn't work.
