Positive: Willka Lodge, Ollantaytambo — a wonderful stay with unforgettable views Willka Lodge was one of the most beautiful and memorable stays of our Peru trip. The lodge overlooks the magnificent ruins of Ollantaytambo, with the mountains rising all around, and the balcony itself is a perfect place to sit quietly and take in the beauty of the Sacred Valley. Morning light on the mountains and the ruins from the lodge was simply magical. What made the stay even more special was the lady who manages the lodge almost entirely by herself. She was extremely kind, helpful, polite and well-mannered, and went out of her way to make us comfortable. We communicated mostly through Google Translate, but warmth does not need a language — every interaction was pleasant and thoughtful. The rooms were comfortable, the atmosphere was homely, and the breakfast was wonderful. For anyone staying in Ollantaytambo, especially those who want a peaceful place with superb views, a lovely balcony, and genuinely caring hospitality, Willka Lodge is highly recommended.
