Summary: This is a fabulous cottage property located on a quiet country lane off the D17, on the outskirts of Cheillé. We were a party of 4 adults (self, wife, daughter and fiancé ) in the 2nd half of July (very hot) looking for a peaceful holiday with easy access to restaurants, chateaux etc, and the property suited us perfectly. Anne is a lovely host. When attempting to drive through Cheillé on our arrival we found the route recently barrée and the "deviation" signs just took us round in a back streets circle. We'd shared our location with Anne in WhatsApp and she kindly came to us and led us to the property via the D751. There is a super boulangerie in the village just above the roadworks and we could still park up for the daily baguette etc. A good Carrefour Market is 10 mins away in Azay and has petrol/diesel, a carwash, and importantly for us, an English speaking vet nearby for our dog's return worming treatment (€44). We found we could park up in a free carpark just above the boulangerie and walk down past the roadworks, across L'Indre bridge and into Azay le Rideau which we loved. Azay restaurants we tried: Pernelle, OK, Cote du Cour, good, L'epine absolutely excellent and amazing value for an upscale experience. L'Ardoise in Chinon was excellent too. All were relaxed and welcomed our little PRT Jack. For background, and as this was our first holiday with Jack, we stayed o/n locally in Folkestone both ways and took the tunnel. All worked well and including Pet Reception we were boarding in less than an hour and allowed on earlier crossings. All in all, a a fabulous property, a super helpful host, and for our first proper holiday post Covid, an outstanding choice. Thank you Anne!

Summary: Anne was a lovely and helpful host. The property is well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is situated in a quiet location and there is a lot of things to do within reasonable distance.

Summary: The house and garden were really beautiful and a pleasure to spend time in. It had the perfect combination of being in a really quiet, lovely countryside location while also being easy access to visit a lot of nearby chateau, plus the nearby towns Tours, Azay le Rideau and Saumur. The area has so much to offer we couldn't do it all in 2 weeks, although we enjoyed just spending time at the house too!

Summary: Anne was a real trip saver. We arrived on the eve of a holiday and could not get our car. Anne helped us out first to get groceries and then drove us to get our rental car. This was way over and above what is normal. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The garden was perfect, quiet and peaceful. We would recommend.

Summary: Very nice house with a lot of lovely atmosphere. A lot of castles close by, we’ve done a lot of biking. The shower in bath was a little experience. The fire place is big and works very well.
