This wonderful recently restored 5BD villa is located in the heart of the Chianti region, just steps away from the town of Greve.
The villa traces its origin back to the 1300 and has recently been tastefully renovated and exquisitely furnished. The careful attention to details by the owner, who has owned the property for more than 35 years, contributes into making this villa a truly unique place with a very sophisticated, cozy and elegant atmosphere.
From the villa it is possible to enjoy the most lovely views on the typical Tuscan landscape, full of vineyards, olive groves and cypress peaked hillsides.
The garden of the villa is always perfectly kept and features plenty of outdoors furniture for the 2 covered verandas as well as for the pool area... Which makes it perfect for relaxing, and enjoying the views with a glass of wine or for al fresco dining (a vintage barbecue is available).
The private swimming pool (size 45 x 19 feet) overlooks wonderful views of the typical Tuscan countryside and comes fully furnished with lounges and shaded areas.
Location.
The villa is located nearby the heart of the village of Greve in Chianti as well as just a few minutes away from the beautiful medieval village of Montefioralle.
To reach Montefioralle, which is one of the most ancient villages in the Chianti area and is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, you can just travel by foot (about 5 minutes). The original name of this village was "Monteficalle," referring to the fig trees that grow in the fields around the castle... here you can find two great restaurants (one with outdoor seating) offering some of the best Tuscan specialties as well as a fabulous winery.
To reach Greve, which is often considered as the “entrance gate” into the Chianti region, you can travel from the villa by foot (about 10 minutes walk), by bike, or by car (3 minutes drive). The beautiful main square of Greve, Piazza Matteotti, is the focal point of the town, where there are several excellent restaurants such as: the Osteria Mangiando Mangiando, the Bottega del Moro or the Osteria del chianti classico as well as many other typical grocery stores, artisan shops and the famous Antica Macelleria Falorni (a Tuscan butcher that has been in the same spot since 1729). Nearby the square there is also a large supermarket.
The city of Florence is about a 35 minute drive, Siena is about a 1 hour drive, and San Gimignano is about a 50 minute drive away.
Description of the interiors.
The villa features 5 charming bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in total, so it can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.
Ground Floor: The villa's main door opens into a sitting room followed by a large living room with a fireplace and TV (with satellite channels). From the entrance sitting room there are a few stairs to reach the first bedroom (with two twin beds) and an ensuite bathroom (with shower).
The dining area is directly connected to the outdoor veranda (that comes fully furnished with sofas and very comfortable furniture) and to the private garden. Next to dining room is the spacious and fully equipped kitchen that comes with a large wood dining table (that seats up to 10 guests).
First Floor: Halfway up the stairs from the ground floor's living room going to the first floor, there is a double bedroom (with two twin beds) with attached bathroom (tub and handheld shower).
On the first floor there is another bedroom with two twin beds and a King bedroom that shares a bathroom with a shower.
At the end of the first floor's corridor there is the magnificent master bedroom (with King bed) with the ensuite bathroom with tub (and handheld shower). The villa is air-conditioned.

Summary: Our family loved our stay at the Villa. The home and grounds were beautiful and better than the photos! The walk down to Greve was a bit steeper than we anticipated, but our multi age group was able to do it and made it back up. The pool was our reward!Giovanni was a wonderful host and answered questions promptly!We’d love to return again!

Summary: Nine family namers ranging in age from 19 to 79 spent 10 wonderful days at this Tuscan house. Everyone enjoyed their time. The owner Giovanni was very helpful and responsive. The housekeeping service was very good. We loved the views and all the amenities. The borgo of Montefioralle was a real delight. I recommend this place with enthusiasm.

Summary: My family of 7 including a 18 months baby enjoyed our 5 night’s stay in Giovanni’s wonderful villa! The view of the property is stunning and beyond the website description. The outdoor space is amazing and well maintained. Its spacious and rustic interior is full of his family history. The location is unbeatable. we saved time and avoid the hassle of renting car by hiring car services for train and airport pick ups and drop offs and also 2 day trips to San Gimignano, Siena; Montalcino, Pienza and Montelpuciano. There is a charming restaurant just 5 minutes away. Also there are restaurants and grocery stores in nearby town on foot in 20 minutes. Both my husband and I are near 70 and did the walking with no issues. The kitchen utensils are well stocked, remember to bring oil, salt, pepper and any basic ingredients if you want to cook. We hired Gaia and her mother to cook dinners for us for 2 nights, and professional chef Alessio for Easter dinner. How wonderful it is to have a delicious meal waiting for us after a day’s trip. They are all lovely people and cooked very well! Owner Giovanni is easy to communicate and he usually responds in minutes!

Summary: Overall we had a great stay. The villa is in a great location with many restaurants and wineries close by. Grounds and view were fantastic and located in a very quiet area. The villa is a little dated on the inside, but delivers that classic charm and has plenty of space for a large group both inside and out.

Summary: This VRBO property provided the ideal setting for our family of 10 to gather for 3 weeks from late July thru mid-August 2024 - a charming, spacious home amid olive groves & vineyards with stunning views. The home itself provided ample & pleasant space both inside and out. Plus there was the swimming pool - a daily life saver given the 95+ daily temperatures! A short walk uphill from the house took us to the quaint village of Montefioralle, where we enjoyed many a meal and stroll. And walking into Greve itself was very doable for grocery & gift shopping, grabbing a coffee or just poking around. This location also lended itself to doing many a day trips throughout Tuscany and beyond, and that we did - Radda in Chianti, Florence, Panzano, San Gimignano, Siena, Pienza, Arezzo, Cinque Terra and more! Invaluable to us was throughout our stay was the comprehensive packet of information provided to us by the owner. Especially helpful were instructions re where to park on some of our day trip destinations, not to mention multiple restaurant recommendations which we relied upon and enjoyed both locally and on day trips. We greatly appreciated the housekeeping services provided twice weekly and also took advantage of having Giovanni connect us with Gaia and her mother Vittoria, who prepared and served to us two outstanding dinners in the outdoor eating area at sunset. A perfect stay for exploring the best of Tuscany and relaxing. Thank you, Giovanni!

Summary: Beautiful, charming , enchanting and authentic villa/ farmhouse . Many personal old antiques . Property is loved by one family and has a wonderful story and history . Summary: I will start out saying the listing doesn't do it justice... it was 3 times more beautiful then the already amazing pictures showed! Communication throughout the process was great and we felt very supported. Everything was very clean and in great condition. We had 10 ppl (4 kids 6 adults) and the ppl was amazing when it was 99 degrees! Combined with the AC in the sleeping rooms, temps were not an issue at all. Took advantage of the location for the easy walk up to Montefioralle and down the hill to Greve. Just something to note, walking to Greve takes ~10-15 minutes and it is a fairly steep hill. Wasn't a problem for us with kids, but if you were 75+ or have walking issues not sure it would be a great idea. We all loved the Villa more then words can express! Would stay there again in a heartbeat
