Detailed with wood floors, vaulted ceilings, and a flat-screen TV, the open-concept living area is the ideal place to unwind. The kitchen is appointed with a full suite of stainless steel appliances. You will find three bedrooms on the second floor -- the main suite has a desk, en-suite bathroom, and deck access. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom and one has deck access. Two additional bedrooms on the ground floor share a bathroom. Spend leisurely days on one of the decks. Enjoy nights around the wood-burning firepit.

Summary: We booked this to visit family in Gordonsville, VA and it was absolutely great for all of us. The house was big enough for all of us and the location was great as well. We were within 30 mins to an hour from any place we wanted or needed to go. The house was clean and well maintained and had fun things for the kids to enjoy as well.

Summary: The Sundowner is in a great location! Very quiet, dark, and peaceful without being too far off the main roads. The house layout is great for multi family/couples stay. The bedrooms are separated by the family room/kitchen. A nice size laundry room and downstairs bar, and recreation room are great for longer stays! Very dog friendly! We truly enjoyed our stay in this home and would recommend it to others.

Summary: I liked the house and all of the features. The only complaint that I have is the master bedroom shower leaked and water leaked into the bedroom below. My guests got a good drenching. The ceiling in the bedroom had a big water stain and another review from November 2022 had the same complaint so it appears they still have not addressed the issue.

Summary: 2 night staycation to bring together family and celebrate our matriarch. First night we kept losing power, for hours at a time. The last time it happened we all decided to just head to bed. But no power also meant no water. We had to use a good portion of our bottled water supply and could not flush toilets. The next morning, in the light of the day we noticed the queen bedroom in the basement had an active leak, nearly over the bed. With mold and damage in the ceiling coming from the master bathroom above. (It’s clear the damage is old as the carpet was clearly water stained in the past) The guests staying in that room opted not to sleep there the second night due to asthma problems and not wanting to make it worse with the mold. Other than that, the house was a great size and had almost everything you needed. The flattop grill on the deck was a nice surprise. The house was clean although all the kids were spooked by multiple bugs, but it’s a house in the woods. It’s hard to rate this. We wanted to love the property but between the huge inconvenience of not having power and water for a good portion of our first day, and then some guests not being able to use an entire bedroom, I feel like we are due a portion of a refund. The Vacasa rep that was assigned to us during our stay was on top of it and did what she could. Owners need to repair damage instead of sticking a bandaid on it and invest in a generator since it’s clear the area loses electricity often.

Summary: Pros: the online pictures are fine, but it is even NICER in person: clean, lovely open floor plan, lots of space, fantastic deck, and a great, nicely situated fire pit. It was also really nice that linens and soaps were provided, as there are other properties that do not. Cons: The only negatives, were (the first, which wasn’t really anyone’s fault) that the propane tank was empty and we had to go get it filled up. And the other negative was that the mattresses were very uncomfortable, especially the two large beds.
