Positive: The breakfast was very good. The wifi was good. The price was good but ultimately not worth the hassle.

Negative: The people who run this place are nice, which may be why people in reviews gloss over that the rooms themselves are worn out and in need of a deep clean. The shades on the bathroom window have mold spots, the beds and linens worn out, and there were massive spider webs outside of the bedroom window (which was an issue because there's no AC so I wanted to be able to leave the window open for air). I would have been more forgiving of the less than comfortable room for the price except that the price was more hassle than it was worth. It was not clear to me that payment was by cash only. I didn't have enough euro and was unwilling to pay Euronet fees at the closest ATM so had to drive to a town 20 minutes away to get cash. While the listing does say that payment is by cash only, that information is not prominent in the listing. More importantly, after I booked via Booking.com, the owner messaged to say that I hadn't provided credit card information, that a credit card number was required to secure the reservation, and asked that I email that information. I missed her message until a few days before my arrival (I was booking a lot of accommodation at once so received a couple dozen emails from Booking.com). I didn't feel comfortable emailing my credit card information to a stranger so responded simply to confirm my reservation. She answered that yes, she had held the room but "really, you should have confirmed by card." Again, no mention of payment in cash, only a request for credit card information. We had further messages about my arrival time. At no point did she mention that--despite asking for a credit card--payment could only be made in cash.

Positive: The breakfast was one of the greatest meals I have ever eaten. The room was very well appointed and the owners were just lovely and could not be more helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you

Negative: It is just a very little thing, but I would have liked to make a cup of tea in the room. But seriously, this is small thing because the stay was just brilliant.

Positive: The room was quaint with a nice view of the countryside. The breakfast is quite delicious with meals made to order and a good selection of options. Parking is easy and it is right off the main road. While not in the city, it is still convenient.

Negative: We were required to pay cash for the room. Nowhere on Booking does it mention this. Upon review, I did receive a long message from the owner prior, and it was buried in that. Also, the owner was very mechanical and did not come off as the most welcoming.
