Wrenโ€™s Den is the perfect place to call home base while in Western North Carolina. This economical cabin experience is a great motel alternative and comes complete with rocking chairs and a cozy wood-burning fireplace. Note that the full bed in the loft, which is accessible only by ladder, is best suitable for the more adventurous guest - older kids love it! After a fun-filled day exploring the local surroundings, a soak in the jetted tub will relax you for a good night's rest in the king-sized bed. Wake up and find your new favorite place to be among the trees enjoying the simplicity of Wrenโ€™s Den! This vacation rental is located in Black Mountain and is approximately 19 minutes to downtown Asheville.

โ€ข A visit to the Village of Cheshire provides an authentic mountain experience with a convenient location. Please note there is no parking next to this cabin. Be prepared to encounter rough terrain such as steep, unpaved trails leading to your cabin and stone stairs when walking to your cabin from the parking area. Appropriate footwear and easy-to-carry luggage are strongly suggested. This cabin is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations due to the nature of the location.
โ€ข The kitchenette at Wren's Den comes equipped with an oven and stovetop, mini-fridge with freezer compartment, sink, microwave drawer, coffee maker, and all appropriate dishes and cookware, however, it does not have a dishwasher or separate freezer.
โ€ข The cabin does not come equipped with a washer and dryer.
โ€ข Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the wood-burning amenities, please purchase wood locally upon arrival.
โ€ข There is a long, steep set of stone stairs at the entrance to Wren's Den.
โ€ข While the cabin is surrounded by trees, this cabin is centrally located in the Black Mountain area and traffic can be heard from the nearby road, particularly during peak commuting hours and summer season.

Summary: This was a beautiful cabin for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. We, unfortunately, picked the absolute worst time to visit, as we were in the cabin during hurricane Helene. We had no power or water, but otherwise this would've been the perfect place to spend with loved ones. The neighborhood is convenient and beautiful

Summary: What a quaint village! Loved it and Wrens Den worked great for my hubby and I and our dog! We made it to the Biltmore on our rainy day and to Chimney Rock on our adventure day. Enjoyed some awesome pizza at Fresh in Black Mountain to wrap up our stay!
