Positive: I traveled solo for a long weekend stay and had a wonderful time. My oceanfront deluxe room was stunning, designed nicely and clean. Room service daily with fresh towels, coffee, etc. Staff were incredibly friendly and I felt well taken care of. Some people note that staff were slow, but I found that they took time tending to guests, walking them to their hotel buildings and other areas of the resort guests were unfamiliar with, which was a nice touch. While the hotel isn’t in the center of town, the hotel has free shuttle drop off and pick up to local attractions daily, which I utilized. Hotel staff also arranged taxis for me when needed, which was very easy. When I didn’t feel like venturing off the premises, I enjoyed the nightly live music and other social. Food options were limited, but the quality was better than other all inclusives I’ve been to (though I never expect a four star dining experience at an all inclusive). Drinks were also good and not watered down like other all inclusives I’ve been to. The hotel is new and the grounds were beautiful, and fairly condensed, which I liked. Hotel guests were also lovely and the atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable! I’ve traveled all over the world, and at many beach front resorts, and I very much enjoyed my time here.
Negative: Heard neighbors through our connecting door one night, which I think is due to the acoustics and no carpeting. There were little maintenance things here and there, but to me it was standard maintenance on a beachfront hotel!
Summary: Lovely stay at beautiful ocean front property on Barbados.

Positive: The food was excellent and the daily entertainment was great. All the staff were very personable. The management team were very nice. They came out and interacted with the guest. Tania who serviced me and my guest at the lantern pool was excellent and very attentive.

Positive: The room was excellent and the bed very comfortable. Tania on reception was amazing and deserves to be promoted.
Negative: Unfortunately the food was pretty awful. Breakfast was good if you had an omelette. The standard of the buffet was bringing back memories of school dinners. I looked forward to breakfast and for the other meals filled up on bread rolls. They really need to take measures to improve the food offering. It is advertised as 5*…put real fruit in a crumble, not cheap pie filling. Vegetables were over boiled. They even seemed to boil cucumber! Overall service was fairly lacklustre, though a few staff members were excellent.
Summary: A 5* property with a beautiful view, with a 2* food offering.

Positive: staff super friendly, castle view restaurant very good, but short staffed and not at capacity. Bedroom was very good.
Negative: Needs managers to be walking the hotel and grounds. The hotel was needing detailed cleaning and attention to details of upkeep. There should be a bar on the beach and cleaning of seaweed. Rum bar was limited appeal. Check in was a disaster, having arrive at 10.00am we offered to pay $150 for an early check in. We were told we would be called once a room ready, but no call received. Finally, we went to reception at 4.00pm and the must have been 50 plus people. Not enough staff to prepare rooms, not enough well-trained front office staff and no management intervention.
Summary: good not great for the money. Nothing close by and no shop in hotel.

Positive: The property is a bit of a distance from the airport. It was a long and tiring drive. The check in process was horrible. I waited for such a long time to be checked in (about 2 hours). The staff just asked me to sit and wait in a "not so nice tone". The room was nice and clean. The view from the room was vert breathtakingly beautiful. The refrigerator in the room was filled with drinks such as sodas, beers, water, juice. I got my sheets changed on the second day and the cleaner left the dirty sheets in the room. There was a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from. Staff at the restaurant were nice and helpful. I really looked forward to breakfast more than anything else. All in all; there are a few things that needs to be worked on.
