Negative: There are many steps on the way to town, or the supermarket, but is is Good workout. Or Else taxi/Uber can pick you up at the door.

Positive: The apartment was very comfortable, new and clean, close to everything. If you have any questions, the staff is always ready to help. If I intend to visit Istanbul again, I will book the same apartment.
Negative: The place is on a hill so it was difficult to go up and down but this problem was solved by requesting an Uber to take us to the nearest point.
Summary: It has everything you need, beautiful, quiet, clean, and a friendly staff.

Positive: The best compliment I can give a place is that I plan to come back next year and would likely rent again with the understanding of some of the issues. Although the price is a little steep as a solo traveler for a two-bedroom - I loved it! The view was awesome, The place is pretty quiet. There is a school close by but it's just a little bit of noise I found during the day only. I got to relax on the terrace and drink coffee during different times of the day. I spent a whole day and never left the apartment it was very relaxing. Found that the house is very representative of the photos. Any dealing with staff were great, although felt a bit "bot-ish" in their response they were very kind. The house is a little more dated than the photos - but that's to be expected of a rental but I would still say very representative. I would definitely say it's clean. Had ample towels, toilet paper, paper towels that one would need - especially as a solo traveler. Place is in a secure building and the door is very secure. So as a female solo traveler I felt very safe in the building, the apartment, and the neighborhood. I love that it's in walking distance of a few different food shops, different types of restaurant and very close to the shopping district - much closer than it appeared on Google maps. Getting to the water was quick and the road was at least all downhill to get to it. I do plan to return to Istanbul again and I very much expect to use this rental again if it's available. You can rent expecting a lovely view (very much matching the one I had at the Hilton down the street) in a very safe building and neighborhood. In the apartment gives you many areas to spread out. It's a lot of apartment for one person and definitely more suited towards a family - but I loved it all the same.
Negative: There were no English instructions for the stove, microwave, or washing machine and I struggled a bit with each of those things. Thankfully Google translate helped a bit with the washer but there were no instructions for anything. I did spend a good amount of time wondering if I was selecting the right option and I wouldn't burn the place down. The apartment is very bare bones. I'm a regular user of rental properties and I've come to expect a standard at this price range. For example, didn't have oven mitts in order to pull things out of the oven. Rentals usually includes some baking wear, baking essentials such as aluminum foil or even some basic spices. Nicer rentals usually included a number of kitchen items in order to make meals - this place severely lacked helpful and basic things. It has very rudimentary items such as plates, cups, silverware, and pots. I think recall it just having four of each of the eating items. I had to use a boiler pan (which I don't believe should have been used) to make my little pizza - and I had no way to pull it out with a lack of basic items such as oven mitts. The rental offered washer but no supplies! As a short-term rental you wouldn't expect to go and buy a full size detergent and softener, but you must. Again that's just some of the basic stuff that I'm used to having rentals include. Also people that stay in this rental should understand that this area of Turkey is very hilly. There are lots of steps (most not in the best shape) and inclines! Can't stress that enough. I personally rather enjoyed the workout. This feature is just the nature of the location of the apartment NOT the rental properties fault. But shouldn't come here expecting a flat service like you find in most taxing areas this area is definitely located on the side of a hill so you will need to climb/descend steep areas.

Positive: Good communication prior to arrival and during stay. Room was ready on time and reception staff were friendly. We were able to get 2 sets of keys. There is a lift. Good security. We loved the location, near the No1 Tram and the Kabatas ferry terminal. Also easy access to small shops and a supermarket. Very quiet, which was appreciated in a large city. Large living area and kitchen, with a dishwasher and coffee machine. Large windows, lots of natural light. Spotlessly clean
Negative: More kitchen equipment would have been good. Limited supply of coffee pods and dishwasher tablets. A tea towel. Some basic supplies such as salt and pepper and oil. Would have been useful.
