Positive: Clean, Comfortable. Easy access to beach and jetty. The sea and beach is so beautiful. Free laundry service. Owner and staffs are very friendly and helpful. We had a nice stay here. We joined their Exclusive Advance Snorkeling and it was really value for money, we enjoyed the activity so much.

Positive: This is a family run guest house located by the beach. The rooms were very clean, tidy and bug free. The rooms are accessed by an internal corridor, so if you like a sunny room this is not for you. They have an entertainment room with tons of DVD's and a karaoke machine which we used after a few drinks. On the beach, there is a raised outdoor deck area with a couple of tables, some lounge chairs and tv. Also some weights if you had the inclination. Its the PERECT place to watch the sun set and have a few drinks. We ate quite a few meals cooked by the grandmother and it was delicious home cooked food. She grew a lot of her own vegetables which she used in her cooking. The owner Wi, organised trips for us to snorkel at different spots and took us out after making sure we had some additional snorkel training to ensure we were confident and safe. I have snorkelled a lot and these were the best trips I have ever been on, we saw turtles, sharks, giant puffer fish and so much amazing coral. From this guesthouse, you can also snorkel off beach which is something I think is valuable. There is a nice house reef there and lots to see. We loved the warmth and hospitality shown to us from Wi and his family, it was like a home from home while we stayed there. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. I thoroughly recommend this guest house.

Negative: You have to be responsible for cleaning your own bedding, and there was a washing machine provided.

Positive: The owner, Mr. Wee, and his family are exceptional. If you want to visit or snorkel on this island, Mr. Wee is extremely knowledgeable and serious. He provided us with the best snorkelling tours. Furthermore, we had a big problem with transportation to leave the island and Mr. Wee's help was invaluable. We will forever be extremely grateful. It is a basic hotel but it is highly recommended. It has everything you need and it is clean and cosy.

Positive: Fantastic beachfront place run by the fabulous Wee and his family. Wee and his mum took our family (kids 9 & 11) on a brilliant snorkelling afternoon by boat to Coral Island. This was a really pretty place to go where we snorkelled twice and had a stop on a very white sand beach. We saw 5 reef sharks, turtles, beautiful coral and fish and due to the thorough preparation of Wee with our kids, they were excited to see the sharks, not scared! Wee’s mum also snorkelled with us and followed behind our group, providing an extra layer of safety - she was fantastic, always smiling and interacting with us despite no common language. Wee takes utmost care in all he does - shown by how much love he’s put into the accommodation where he’s thought of everything to make a stay very comfortable and relaxing.

Negative: All good - we recommend doing the snorkelling trip early in your stay as then you learn more from Wee on other things to do in Genting and in other towns on the island.

Summary: This is a place we’d love to come back to & will recommend to others.
