Summary: We stayed in the room with a private courtyard (I can’t speak to the other rooms). This actually had two bedrooms with their own bathrooms, comfortable for three to four people. Having the private courtyard with a table was very nice. The property was hard to find, but that’s true of many places on gulangyu—meandering streets are its charm (The trees and architecture are amazing). The hotel is quaint and has a lovely dining terrace on the rooftop with beautiful views of the island and the towering buildings of Xiamen. The staff were very friendly. It helps if you know some Chinese.

Summary: I stayed here for two nights. I was nervous booking as a non-Chinese citizen because I read about hotels on Guylangu specifically canceling bookings for people without Chinese ID numbers due to difficult with registration but I booked and paid online ahead of time and didn't have any issues. My room on the upper floor was lovely with a low sloped ceiling and two skylights - I could actually see the rock at the high point of the island! There was air conditioning in my room and a large circular bath with shower option that was neat. The front desk people were friendly. Please note the address before arriving because the name shows up differently on Apple Maps, and I had a little trouble finding it initially since it is uphill from the ferry terminal (although I was also probably too hot to think straight). Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I'm ever back in Gulangyu.

Summary: I satisfied 1 day in this hotel. Hotel was very close to Ilkwangam. Hotel location was very nice to see Xiamen night view. Especially, hotel owner family was very very kind. My wife and I felt three hotel manager's really warm heart. Their's small but really warm heart made my trip valuable. I could not send enough thanks due to the language. Thanks again. Sometimes I hope to visit that hotel again.
