Enjoy unobstructed views of sunsets, pastures with cattle, and the perpetual see forever landscapes of Northwest Texas.
This 1200 sq. ft. is a spacious 1 bedroom with king bed, dual sink bathroom, large walk-in closet, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. It is attached to the main house, but has a separate/private entrance and patio separated by a 3 car garage.
Big screen TV's with satellite in living room and bedroom. Plenty of DVD's to choose from. Wi-fi and books.
Kitchen is supplied with dishes, flatware, pots and pans, wine and champaign glasses. There is a Keurig Coffee maker with coffee and hot chocolate pods. There are a few basic spices and condiments.
Small pets are accepted under 25 lbs. There is a private lighted patio just for you, so you can enjoy the sunsets, equipped with outdoor furniture and propane grill to enjoy your evenings.
Located just 4 miles north of Shepard Air Force Base Main gate on Highway 240. 10 miles from the center of downtown Wichita Falls. 10 miles from the Casinos in Oklahoma.

Summary: This was our second stay at Yamparika Haven and this place is just the best. Jay, the host, is a great guy and both times had made sure that our stay was comfortable and convenient. Summary: I can't say enough positive things about Jay and his place! First, it's just enough out of the way to not feel like you're in the middle of town, but close enough to get to anything you need easily. I've stayed there twice now and it's been perfectly clean both times. His place is well-appointed with thoughtful amenities and a great setup for cooking. The fridge even has drinks, condiments and snacks! The bed and linens are very comfortable. The patio is my favorite, as a place to enjoy a morning coffee or you can watch beautiful sunsets in the evening. Jay is very communicative, reachable and happy to help if you need anything at all. You likely won't though...it's all already set up and there for you!

Summary: Only stayed 2 nights. Place is very clean and cozy. We basically just slept there while in town visiting our kids. Never really used place to it’s full potential, as we didn’t cook any meals or anything. But it was a nice and welcome gesture of bottled water and Dr. Peppers in the fridge when we arrived. We highly recommend this location when needing a place to stay in Wichita Falls. Thanks for a great place Jay!

Summary: I’m traveling about 1/2 the time, and this is definitely in my top 5 stays of all time. The location is perfect to visit my son at Sheppard, the unit is exactly as described, the host has considered every possible need his guests might have… also, he’s a very nice person and very responsive to customer needs. I highly recommend and will stay here every time I come to visit.

Summary: Hands down the best property in Wichita Falls. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Jay's property if you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful property. The private porch was a treasure, and being able to spend the evening watching the storms was the highlight of my stay. This is a spacious 1 room apartment with all the amenities of home. This property is perfect for a solo traveler or a couple, with a washer and dryer, huge TVs, and a king bed. The communication with the host was easy and prompt. This will definitely be my first chiice for stays in Wichita Falls.

Summary: Clean, quiet, very nicely decorated, and comfortable. I stayed 2 nights to spend time with my son who is at Sheppard. It is a straight shot from the house to the base. The bed was comfortable, the coffee bar was an excellent touch, and the TVs are huge! I will stay again if back in the area. The property owner was responsive to any questions. Thank you!
