Watertown is only 20 minutes to the north with the Terry Redlin Art Museum and an elegant downtown for small-town shopping and dining. Desmet home of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Little House on the prairie pageant is only 30 minutes southwest. The firepit area took a hit with flooding in 2019. The area is useable.

Summary: The cabin was great for 5 guys on an ice fishing trip, with comfortable beds for everyone. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed, and had a great living area to hang out in. The host was very helpful and communicated with us well. Great spot to stay!

Summary: I was looking for somewhere next to a lake, that I could relax and rejuvenate and this stay was exactly what I needed!! The home was easy to find, well appointed and comfortable. The open windows overlooking the lake allowed us to feel like we were on the lake, without the cold fall breeze. I was able to watch the sunrises and fish jumping, along with several fishermen reeling in their catches. The dock had been pulled in for the winter, in which I was slightly disappointed. Perhaps there is a way that it can be noted on the add... but the owners went above and beyond and put the short dock in for us along with other actions that enhanced our stay... they were very accommodating. A little detail cleaning could be suggested, but overall was very homey. Thank-you!!!
