Summary: The Yellow Door was the best rental we’ve stayed at in the UP over the past 5 years! Newly remodeled, simple, and clean. Roomy living room with plenty of comfy seating, a simple organized kitchen, eating area and two big bathrooms with double sinks. Beds for six people to sleep independently. Nice side lot to park our trailer and sleds. It’s less than 2 blocks to the trail. There’s a great restaurant/bar across the street (1902 Tap & Grill). (We ate there four of the five nights of our stay.) In floor heat provides consistent heat throughout rental. Little traffic on the street outside, but close enough to Hancock and Houghton for quick trip for food, shopping and other restaurants. The host family was extremely welcoming and friendly. We will stay again!!

Summary: The yellow door was a perfect location to ride snowmobile in the UP and the 1902 bar across the street has the best pizza I’ve have had! Highly recommend this place!

Summary: This property is in a great location. It’s 1/2 block from the snowmobile trail, there’s 2 restaurants and 2 bars within 2 blocks. The house is clean and spacious. The only negative aspect were the furnishings. The couch wouldn’t stay together and the bed mattress’ were all very firm. Would stay here again!
