Park Cottage
20 km from Beauval Zoo and Valençay Castle. About 40 km from the Loire Valley (Cheverny, Chenonceau & Chambord) you will discover a bright, authentic and modern house in large park.
You will taste the freshness of the paths and the tranquility of the banks of the Berry canal that border the park. They will delight young and old while you may have the chance to see deer in the morning when you wake up.
Garden and private terrace.
House with two bedrooms and living room, separate kitchen, terrace and garden in park. A shower room on the ground floor and a bathroom then one of the bedrooms.
Rooms on the first floor. Sofa (2,00m) and chaise (1,70m for child) extra in living room. Better to take their down to the kids for extra bed. There is also the extra mattress of the cot.
Sheets not provided but B. B. chair and extra bed with comfortable mattress. Good warm duvets for the beds and towels provided.
Sometimes present, sometimes absent ... But if you need to, or if you want to meet them, you can get closer to the two families living in the houses at the other end of the park, which you will only see when you enter the park a few hundred meters away.
You will be able to enter by the grid by composing the code, not to be in front of the electric cell which is to one meter under the keyboard at the time of the composition of the code.
Then for your comings and goings, you will find with the keys of the house an electronic key allowing you to enter and exit ... handy to enter and exit without getting off the car ...
Electric heaters: thank you put in the eco position the radiators starting by pressing small white button to change modes.

Summary: We stayed 6 nights in the Lodge house of the chateau grounds. The chateau is owned by Francois Brunault who is restoring it. He is very welcoming indeed and very happy for those staying in the gite to wander the grounds including around the chateau. The chateau sits in grounds of 12 hectares and is completely enclosed so we had no worries about our spaniel straying onto the road - though we did have to keep an eye on her when a deer and her kid appeared from the trees. There are two bathrooms - the ground floor has a lovely walk-in shower and the first floor bathroom has a bath with shower head over it. There is lots of space in the bedrooms and in the huge sitting/dining room downstairs. There is a DVD player and some french DVDs and lots of books (although I could only find one in English). Lots of dishes and pots, towels, pillows and duvets. Selle sur Cher is about a 5 minute drive away and has plenty of shops - try the cheese & wine shop - and bakeries and a very good Chinese restaurant. Chenonceau is about 40 minutes away - don’t miss it! Also we loved Amboise.

Summary: Really beautiful gite , fantastic owner, great location for day trips, walks along the canal and walking the tracks in the chateau grounds. A real gem, we will be back again and again, highly recommend.
