Positive: We stayed in the apartment with city view and it was very clean, spacious and well equipped with tea and coffee. It was centrally located, right on the canal in a quieter location. We went to the Italian and Thai restaurant right next door, both highly recommended.
Negative: Nothing that we didn’t like. The stairs were a bit steep as expected for a canal house but not too challenging.

Positive: Firstly, the location is fantastic. We had excellent communication with Nanda who allowed us to leave our luggage in the room which was incredibly nice of her. The coffee in the room was also much needed after a long flight!
Negative: Based on the reviews (or perhaps my perception of them), I thought the Canal House was more of a B & B with a small common area for relaxation, but it was not. The rooms were cleaned, but they were quite tired and dated. In all fairness, the Canal House would probably be rated a 1/2-star hotel. Although we wouldn't book to stay here again, if you can get a good deal on it, you may want to check it out.

Positive: The location was central and within walking distance of the majority of Amsterdam's tourist attractions. The room was furnished wonderfully, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Had tea, coffee and mini stroopwafels, the last of which was enough to make me a very happy person. The host was incredibly communicative, helpful and welcoming, which made the stay a lot more pleasant.
Negative: It's to be completely expected in an Amsterdam townhouse, but the stairs were quite steep, so maybe not ideal for those with preexisting injuries/chronic conditions. Again, to be expected and a bonus if you like stairs.
Summary: Wonderful stay, good location - highly recommend, will return. Expect me.

Positive: Gorgeous apartment with a beautiful view. Had all amenities required including toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, tea,coffee, sugar and ecc. The was was huge and super comfy. Didn’t mind that the apartment is on the 4th floor at all. The location was excellent as well, 10min from all attractions
