Positive: The location was ideal. It is a very short walk to all major museums, many restaurants were a short drive away, some within walking distance. The breakfast was beautifully presented in a grand dining room but I did not care for some of the food. My husband enjoyed it, however.
Negative: The house is beautifully restored, and feels like being in a museum. It is very formal which does not give a welcoming vibe. The hosts are lovely but as non french speaking visitors communication was a little more difficult.
Summary: Excellent location, convenient to museums, restaurants, small markets and hiking/outdoor facilities.

Positive: All the art work and the way the house was decorated was amazing. The hosts were also amazing and even drove me to the bus station in the morning because it was snowing. the breakfast was first class in such a fabulous setting.
Negative: I could hear people talking in their room opposite to mine even with both doors closed.
