Summary: I hate giving a bad review but needs must. We were expecting a pub/shop/restaurant in a mile - there wasn't. The nearest by car was on a camp site, and that was a lot further than a mile, and OK if you like that kind of atmosphere (which we don't). There may be a pub over the fields but I wouldn't like to walk back in the dark! As a whole the cottage is quite clean but under the settees there is weeks of dust and even some broken glass. The bedside table lamps need either a good clean or even replacing (I think they have seen better days). On a plus side Ray and Caroline are very nice hosts. Ray even offered to take us to the pub so that we could both have a drink. We do like a BBQ and sometimes the one for use is dirty - this one was in a nice condition and he even left us a bag of coals. Wi-fi is an issue but I don't think the description mentions that it has it.

Summary: Lovely cottage, very large garden, but the garden is not enclosed as the website says. We had to keep our dog on a lead when in the garden. Chickens, sheep and peacocks are in runs in the garden and there is unrestricted access to the drive and fields. Very nice location with walks to two villages. Amenities are a few minutes drive away. WiFi does not work and TV signal very intermittent, fortunately the weather was good so we spent most of our time out and about. good location to explore Somerset and Devon.
