Anthony and Helen took over Elm Barn in May 2022 and this cosy, semi-detached cottage, Elm Barn View, is one of two let’s adjoining their home.
This semi-detached cottage has been cleverly converted to offer the perfect holiday location to relax and unwind or explore the many attractions in the area. Adjoining the owners’ home, it is set in the pretty village of Freethorpe just 3 miles from the riverside inns in the broadland village of Reedham, where boats can be hired and visitors can enjoy a spot of fishing or simply watch the waterborne world go by. The surrounding country lanes are ideal for walking and cycling, and nearby Breydon Water is a paradise for bird watchers. The market town of Acle is 3 miles and Winterton’s glorious beach, with its 6 mile walk offers seal watching. Cromer is famous for its seafood. The cathedral city of Norwich enjoys fine shopping and the RSPB reserves are within easy reach. Golf and fishing available locally. Beach 8 miles with seals at horsey. Shop 150 yards, restaurant 3 miles..

Summary: We had a fabulous week at Elm Barn View, it was very peaceful and picturesque. The cottage is excellent value for money and extremely well equipped, we wanted for nothing. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit and enjoy the sunshine in the garden after our days out. It’s the perfect location for the coast and the Broads, we also discovered some interesting gardens to visit. The owners were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the company of Boots (the lovely Doberman) whilst in the garden. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: nice relaxing place to stay with superb views from the conservatory .well equipped with everything you need even tea/coffee/milk and biscuits a very nice touch. owners were away but the neighbours who let us in were very friendly and welcoming. overall a recommended place to stay thankyou for a relaxing week in the countryside

Summary: This is our second visit to Elm Barn View and both times we have felt very relaxed and enjoyed the peaceful location that it offers. The cottage is beautifully set overlooking the owners lovely garden ..is very suitably equipped offering all the essentials that are needed..and the hosts are very accommodating. Although we were out and about visiting the many lovely places in the area it was always comforting to come back to the cottage and put your feet up and relax at the end of the day. There was even a welcome of tea,coffee,milk and biscuits on arrival.All in all a lovely place to stay. We will be returning.
