One of a row, it has been lovingly restored and retains many character features which include old stone floors and walls. Village life revolves around the old Norman church, quaint pubs and the village shop, which provides for guests’ daily needs. Hook Norton is best known for its Victorian Tower Brewery, the only remaining steam driven brewery still in operation in the UK. Other places of interest to visit include Stow-on-the-Wold (15 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water (19 miles) and Stratford-upon-Avon (23 miles). Shop and village inn 150 yards.

Summary: We had a lovely time at Squirrel Cottage. The dog enjoyed curling up by the wood burner after a long walk while we enjoyed beers picked up from the local brewery. There are loads of footpaths into the surrounding countryside on the doorstep, as well as 2 lovely pubs, a well stocked shop, butchers and the brewery. We couldn't have asked for more. Summary: Great cosy cottage it was perfectly located for what we had planned during our stay. The cottage was clean, warm and had all the amenities that we needed.
