This charming, 19th century (built in 1822), semi-detached cottage is peacefully situated on a quiet lane at the edge of the coastal village of St Cyrus, 30 miles south of Aberdeen with international airport. The completely natural garden provides a haven for local wildlife, birds and plants and backs onto open farmland at the rear. The holiday cottage retains many quaint features giving it a unique character and a welcoming atmosphere. The village shop, cafes and hotel are within walking distance, as are the miles of golden sands for which St Cyrus is renowned. The cliffs and dunes surrounding the beach are a National Nature Reserve where a plethora of wildlife including peregrine falcons can be spotted. Shops, pub and restaurant 5 miles.

Summary: This is our 3 visit with our labrador. We love it. Enough space in a lovely cottage, log fire cosy after a day walking. Beach a mile walk or 5 min drive which is beautiful, stunning. Love it. We do find couch bit uncomfortable but always out walking. Garden safe for dog to explore. Hope to visit again x Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Such a cosy place, not modern in your face place. A beautiful combination of old time rustic and everything you need. The burning peat was the best, the smell took me back to Ireland. Peaceful and a wonderful cafe in St Cyrus with cheesecake to positively die for! Beautiful people manage it too! An abundance of places to visit, would recommend Peel Farm for produce, cafe and gifts. Everything was super cosy and super interesting. A wonderful week!

Summary: Comfortable cottage in a good location, with lots of room. Good wi-fi. Cosy, with good hot water supply for the baths. Bed was very comfortable.

Summary: Had a very nice short break in the cottage in St Cyrus lovely walks along the beautiful beach also visited Montrose. The cottage was clean but the garden is in need of some work.

Summary: I have now booked the cottage six times and it has become like a second home to me, it is always clean and well presented on my arrival. I always prefer quieter places and the cottage suits me well in that respect. The garden is very private and I enjoy sitting outside as there is a nice view over the adjacent fields. The village has a shop and pub, which serves meals and Montrose is only five miles away and provides a variety of supermarkets and other shops as well as night life if desired. There is a beautiful beach at St Cyrus and I always enjoy walking there.

Summary: We keep returning to this cottage because it feels like our 2nd home. We love the natural garden which is a haven for wildlife, and the cottage itself has everything we need and is in the perfect location to relax and unwind, within a short distance of the most glorious coastline and nature reserve. Our dogs love it too.

Summary: Had a fantastic few days vacation at the cottage for our second visit. Very close to beach for lovely long walks with our labrador. Cottage clean tidy and recommend it for people who like to go dog walking. Hope to visit again soon.
