On the outskirts of the village and overlooking fields, is this former cart lodge. Visit Ipswich which has rail links to London.. Ground Floor:
Living/dining area: With Freeview TV, DVD player, iPod dock and beams.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.
Separate toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request) and Velux windows.
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.. Electric heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Enclosed lawn with decked area, garden furniture and barbecue. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. Electric vehicle charging point (at cost, by prior arrangement with the owner). No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced pond in the owners’ grounds.. This detached former cart lodge is situated on the outskirts of Witnesham village. It is a detached property with its own fenced garden and decked patio within the grounds of the owners’ 400 year old former farmhouse. The property is set along a no-through single track lane and is surrounded by countryside with views over open landscape. Ipswich, with its rail and road links is a short drive away. The beautiful riverside town of Woodbridge and the Victorian seaside town of Felixstowe are within easy reach as are Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Framlingham and Dedham with its beautiful Constable countryside. Sutton Hoo (NT) and Alton Water Reservoir where you can hire dinghies and windsurfers. Golf, 2 minutes’ drive. There are four local pub/restaurants and a delightful coffee venue in a converted chapel all within 2 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub/restaurants 2 miles.

Summary: We had a good time here. Venns Farm is a wonderful base to explore the beautiful county of Suffolk. Brian & Jo are helpful & knowledgeable hosts, & their 3 lovely dogs were usually around to offer a warm welcome home from trips out.

Summary: 10/10 a wonderful, friendly, comfortable and we'll equipped location and super dog-friendly. Jo and Brian are super hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely personal touches with the welcome pack and very tasty homemade cake. Thanks for a lovely if too short stay. We'd say forever if we could!

Summary: Perfectly placed for a walking holiday with great pubs close by and Ipswich just down the road, the cottage was beautifully presented. Brian and Jo were very welcoming hosts, and the advice packs in the cottage gave excellent information on both the equipment in the cottage and palces of interest in the surrounding area. Situated an a dead end road with 3 houses beyond the farm, Venns Cart Cottage really was the epitome of a rural idyll. That an excellent pub was to hand only 10 minutes walk down the road was icing on the gingerbread! Lots of interesting things to do in the area and superb weather combined to make this one of the most enjoyable cottage holidays we have had in some time. Highly recommended.

Summary: Lovely quiet rural setting. Not far from Ipswich 6 mins on the train. Easy distance to Woodbridge and Framlingham. Lovely friendly owners and very comfortable lodge and garden was a bonus. Jo makes the best cake too!!

Summary: A gem of a cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. Lovely welcome pack on arrival with homemade cake. The owners were very helpful and gave us lots of useful suggestions on local places to visit. We will definitely be returning!

Summary: Lovely well presented cottage in the country but only 10 minutes from Ipswich . Very dog friendly and ideal location for easily accessible dog walks. Lots of local dog friendly pubs ( which not only offer good food but a warm welcome to your pooch) Jo and Brian and their 3 dogs are very welcoming and the welcome pack including a very scrummy home made cake was a very welcome surprise.
