Positive: Excellent location. Short walk to Coniston village. Cosy & comfy. Lovely views.

Negative: Just a minor issue ....the towel rail fixed to the upright radiator in the kitchen needs moving nearer the top of radiator as when walking past kept catching our arms or clothes. The only other issue was the entrance is on a hairpin bend on a main road. The traffic can be noisy and some people speed down the road. Very difficult to see traffic coming from the left when you are turning right out of the property heading towards the village. Its virtually impossible to turn left as its a very tight hairpin bend. A traffic mirror fixed opposite the entrance would help. An accident waitng to happen unfortunately

Positive: Beautiful cottage, gorgeous views and a fantastic location for visiting the lake district. The cottage had everything one could need. We loved our stay and the pub is around a 20 second walk across the road. Five minutes walk to the main village, the view of conniston lake was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Positive: Views from the cottage were lovely, great kitchen with everything provided, comfortable living room with log burner which was easy to use and made the room nice & cosy in the evening. Shower very good. Proximity to walks & local pub The Ship were excellent, good parking spot outside the cottage door. Felt safe, secure & at home.

Negative: The road is busy & noisy especially in the front bedroom, also had to be very careful of our dog as no enclosed garden so had to be vigilant with the opening & closing of doors. Beds are very soft, master bed especially, also very squeaky! There was a patch of black mold along the top of the window in the master bedroom, probably caused by condensation which needs attention. Feel we have to raise these points, however in no way did they spoil our stay, infact we have booked in for a week in June for which we are really looking forward to. 😀

Positive: The house was cosy and comfortable and the view of the lake is lovely. There was plenty of walks for us right from the doorstep which was perfect and Coniston itself has plenty of places to eat and drink and is only a 15 minute walk to most of them. There are regular buses every day to Ambleside (where you can get connecting buses) from the village, which was very handy as we don't like to take the car out if we can help it when we're away 😊

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Excellent location- with a great pub across the road, nice walk to Coniston water. Loved the cosy cottage - comfy sofa and beds, good shower with plenty of hot water, excellent towels and nice kitchen. Felt more spacious than it looked on the photos. Great value for money. Would visit again😀

Negative: There were a few things that need fixing; -the microwave sparked and smelled- didn’t dare use it after that. - the bathroom door knob needs a new screw to secure it - it fell off in my hand. - the toilet seat is only fixed at one point so is wobbly. We still had a great stay but it would be better for other guests if they were fixed. Also, just suggestions; A nest of tables in the lounge rather than one small table would be useful. And another bedside table in the twin room would be better. We didn’t need it as I was sleeping in there on my own - but if there were more guests they might need one.
