Positive: The house was cosy and comfortable and the view of the lake is lovely. There was plenty of walks for us right from the doorstep which was perfect and Coniston itself has plenty of places to eat and drink and is only a 15 minute walk to most of them. There are regular buses every day to Ambleside (where you can get connecting buses) from the village, which was very handy as we don't like to take the car out if we can help it when we're away 😊

Positive: Excellent location- with a great pub across the road, nice walk to Coniston water. Loved the cosy cottage - comfy sofa and beds, good shower with plenty of hot water, excellent towels and nice kitchen. Felt more spacious than it looked on the photos. Great value for money. Would visit again😀
Negative: There were a few things that need fixing; -the microwave sparked and smelled- didn’t dare use it after that. - the bathroom door knob needs a new screw to secure it - it fell off in my hand. - the toilet seat is only fixed at one point so is wobbly. We still had a great stay but it would be better for other guests if they were fixed. Also, just suggestions; A nest of tables in the lounge rather than one small table would be useful. And another bedside table in the twin room would be better. We didn’t need it as I was sleeping in there on my own - but if there were more guests they might need one.

Positive: Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ideally located with Coniston village and the Ship Inn a short walk away. Beautiful view of the lake.
Negative: It was quite expensive but that was because there was a swimming event going on at the lake that weekend.
Summary: Pretty cottage in a great location with comfy beds.

Negative: The bedroom didn’t have blackout blinds which woke us up in the morning.

Positive: Lovely location and lovely place. Had everything we needed. Great for just walking around. Loved the wood burner. Great size for a small family and pet friendly. Would just recommend getting a new double bed since the one there felt loose and was quite noisy. For someone who has light sleep it was quite a challenge, when ever turning or seating it squeaked a lot. Other than that it's all great.
