Summary: House had all we needed and we appreciated the beach toys and games downstairs. It does feel a little run down and could do with some furniture steam cleaning, a paint job and deep clean.

Summary: Let’s start with the pros, this location is minutes away from a great beach. Now for the cons. The house is quite dirty. When we first arrived the table was fully set with plates and bowls. Unfortunately these dishes were dirty and had to be washed immediately. Like each bowl was full of someone’s snack crumbs. The floor was dirty and there were spiderwebs everywhere. The final morning of our stay as we were finishing breakfast we saw a mouse run across the kitchen floor and under the dishwasher. Yuck. The smoke detectors upstairs were all missing. This has to be some sort of code violation. There is an electrical plate upstairs that has a huge hole in it which is a big hazard with young kids. This place is expensive enough that I expected better. 100% do not recommend :)

Summary: Very cute little neighborhood just a short walk to the beach! Wagon, high chair, 4-5 folding beach chairs and a new umbrella were provided!! We even found the blender has been removed and our host grabbed a new one for us by the next day! Cute house, lots of room to spread out.

Summary: The house was perfect for our group of 9, ranging in age from 5-47. The house had everything we needed and was clean and nicely decorated! It is a very short walk to the beach, which was never crowded and always clean! We had a brief malfunction with the carbon monoxide detection system and the owner was there within 5 minutes to remedy the situation. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: Overall, a good house. Pros: - Truly is steps from Miller Beach which has a snack shack with burgers, ice cream, etc. - House is very cute and well-stocked. Cons: - We could not open the lockbox to retrieve the key. I texted and called the number they provided several times. It took a few hours to get a call back which was stressful. Ultimately, she sent someone out to help. - The house has a critter issue. I assume they are mice, but they are in the walls and cause lots of noise starting very early in the morning (5am).

Summary: Don’t let location keep you from renting this amazing rental, Gary Indiana has some beautiful lake front properties. This nice home is literally steps from the beach, 2 min. walk. The location is ideal for visiting the Indiana Dunes National Park. I suggest a short drive north to care stair ants and shops in New Buffalo, MI.
