Summary: As others have mentioned, the house is wonderfully clean and well stocked. The hostess is very communicative. Had we known that our part of the house cannot be secured from the basement occupants, we would have made different arrangements. The occupants in the basement enter the home through a door from the garage leading to a hallway which gives them two options: enter their secured basement door or enter into the kitchen of the rental space. There is only a curtain separating the kitchen in the rental space from them. Hence, if you’re in the kitchen or living room, they pass through on the other side of this curtain. The lack of a wall or securable door for the rental space is a safety and privacy concern and should be more clearly disclosed in the listing, as the basement occupants can easily gain access to the rented living space. It felt uncomfortable to us, in spite of the amiable hostess.

Summary: This did not feel like a short term rental stay, the hostess is a gem, we had groceries stocked when we arrived, and the place was SO clean. Never would I have imagined I’d feel comfortable letting my 8 month old roam floors in a strange place, but it felt so clean. The neighborhood is safe and easy to access, the hostess is so readily available and willing to help in any way. She lives onsite in the basement, but unless she told you that, you’d never know. She had toys and books set out for my little one- such a personal touch. Loved this stay, and would definitely recommend.
