Classic in style, but full of creature comforts, our log cabin will be your perfect home base for hiking, skiing, wine-tasting, or just relaxing while soaking in the natural mountain surroundings. Only 10 minutes from downtown Windham with access to a main road, this house is also perfectly secluded and enjoys incredible quietude due to being on the side of Mt. Pisgah, surrounded only by thick forest and beautiful farmland. Out back, a private hot tub sits on the brand new 'trex' deck, overlooking a stone fire pit and a star-studded view that stretches all the way to Massachusetts. In the summer, picnic and play games on a sprawling lawn.
Inside, a fully stocked kitchen (including spices, coffee, and other essentials) and wood-burning majestic stone fireplace await cozy days spent holed up. Four bedrooms with queen-size memory foam beds (one of which has a twin bed bunked above it) and fresh organic cotton linens will easily accommodate you and your friends. Two charming bathrooms offer updated rain head showers. A wood stove in the upstairs master bedroom provides a warm and romantic ambiance. Enjoy a home-cooked meal in the stunning window-filled dining room which easily seats eight.
Upstairs, there is a TV Room with all comfy oversized couches; there are comfortable and lovingly maintained furnishings, beds and linens throughout the house.
There are incredible hiking, biking, skiing and countless other activities in the area. We have a list of our favorite things to do nearby that we can provide upon booking.
Some things to note:
(1) Guests must check out no later than 11:00am, unless we give prior written approval of a later check-out. This is to allow a proper cleaning before the next guests arrive. Please be respectful of the cleaning staff's time.
(2) For summer renters, please note that the house does not have air conditioning. The cabin is situated on the side of a mountain which is usually 10 or 15 degrees cooler than the valley floor. There are ceiling fans throughout the house.
(3) We have done our best to update the house with modern comforts! That being said, the house is in a rural area so internet speeds are not as fast as they are in the city. We have found that the internet is reliable enough to check emails or work remotely.
(4) While the house is finished and fully insulated, and cleaned for every renter, it is located in the mountains and (depending on the time of year), some critters do find their way into the home despite our best efforts and pest-proofing. Again, we have found that being careful about food clean-up and securing doors/windows (especially at night) minimizes any issues.
(5) The basement houses our laundry facilities and bike and ski workshop. But please do not try to drive cars down the slope to the doors, as it is muddy most of the year. As noted in our house manual you will receive, we also ask you to please only park in the designated area.
(6) Use of the hot tub and fire pit are at renters' own risk.

Summary: Stayed here for a small girls trip that combined NYC and Boston friends and this was a great halfway point. Didn't take advantage of the yard or dining space but could totally see coming back in the summer. Esp loved the open kitchen and living room space, we spent most of the weekend there just catching up. Kitchen was really well stocked. They have laundry. Plenty of towels etc. Overall very cozy and welcoming. Thank you!

Summary: We love the cabin. It’s so cozy and warm. It was our second time staying in the cabin and it was as wonderful as the first time. Very clean and there is everything you need. Windham Mountain Club is about 15 min away. Very easy to get to.

Summary: Overall, this property was GREAT for our ski weekend! Proximity to Windham was fantastic and the house was so cozy to come back to after a day of being on the slopes! Everything was clean, instructions were well laid out, and there was a very nice “Welcome” for when we arrived! We had a bit of a snow storm while we were there too and the snow plow company was AMAZING! 10/10 overall experience and would definitely recommend! We’ll probably rebook again in the future too!

Summary: My family of 7 adults totally enjoyed their yearly ski/snowboard trip this year. Travel to Windham was 15 minutes away and Hunter was 30 minutes away, short trip to ski/snowboard, come home to a cozy cabin for a big supper, take equipment directly downstairs out of the way, use holders for ski/snowboard equipment in the basement, sooth the sore muscles away in the hot tub at night. Kitchen fully stocked with variety of pots/pans/utensils even a crock pot! Perfect coffee table on 1st floor used as breakfast/supper eatery then at night game fest begins! Kids (19-22) already said to put on list to go back again!!!

Summary: Cabin had plenty of room with comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Everything was clean and well thought out. Nicely updated with everything you need. Minor issue with shower valve, but manager was very quick to respond. Hot tub was new and worked great. Highly recommend!

Summary: There was a nice large dining area and two comfortable areas for relaxing. There was enough space for privacy if needed. The fire area was nice and the mowed area left plenty of room for the dogs to run and not get into the woods.
