As you enter the great room your eyes will be drawn to the high vaulted ceiling, distressed timbers, stone surround on the gas fireplace and lots of windows to take in the views. This main floor encompasses the living room with flat screen TV, very well-equipped kitchen, and a dining room table large enough to seat the family (seats 10). A highchair is also available.
The next level up has a kids play area, 4 guest bedrooms and the primary suite:
Bedroom 1 has 1 queen and 1 double bed, ceiling fan, a private bath with shower and a play n pack. There is access to the back yard and the hot tub from this room.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, ceiling fan and shares a jack and jill bath with bedroom 3 this bath has a tub/shower.
Bedroom 3 has a queen bed, ceiling fan, and flat screen TV
Bedroom 4 has a bunk bed that is a double down and a single above, flat screen TV.
There is also a full hall bath.
The Primary suite has a CAL king bed, a desk for those that need to work while on vacation and a full bath with soaker tub and separate shower. Flat screen on the wall in the primary
The televisions are all streaming and there is a WIFI booster to increase the connectivity.
The lower level is where the pool table, wet bar and TV viewing lounge is located. There is a laundry room and half bath on the lower level.
This home is intended to be for family and friends to gather and relax in the peaceful mountain air. No parties or disturbances of any kind will be allowed. The Mountain View Retreat is in a quiet neighborhood, and the neighbors are full time residents. It is a short drive to the area locals call the “Y” with shopping, dining and great breweries. Angora Ridge, Tahoe Mountain and Washoe Meadows State Park are close by for hiking and mountain biking. Explore Fallen Leaf Lake and Angora Lakes. Heavenly Ski Resort is approximately 15 minutes away, Sierra At Tahoe 25 minutes, Kirkwood approximately 40.
The beaches along Highway 89 are 15 minutes away, Pope Beach, Camp Richardson, Baldwin Beach. You will also find walking trails, the Tallac Historic Sites, and many other favorite visitors destinations along this stretch.
2 Car garage is accessible, and there is storage for your skis or boards.
The backyard includes a covered porch with BBQ and the hot tub. There are also terraced nooks to sit and relax and breath in the fresh mountain air.
The kitchen is enhanced by a 6 burner gas stove, granite counters, spacious bar with bar stools. The kitchen is well equipped-the homeowner loves to cook. There is also a gas BBQ on the porch off the kitchen.

Summary: This was one of the best rentals I’ve ever stayed at in terms of the qualities of amenities in the house, and the amount of entertainment the house had to offer.There was tons of space, and everything including the hot tub and pool table was in working order.The kitchen was stocked well with various kitchen tools and appliances. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this rental again.The only thing that I would recommend improving on is providing snow shovels in case the snow removal service can’t get to the property for a while.

Summary: The property overall was good and clean. Kitchen and downstairs are were spacious, good for small children. The negative was lack of AC, climate change is making temperature hotter. extra fans would have helped. Not delivered when requested. The front and back yard can be landscaped better for children to play. They looked untended.

Summary: Came up with some friends for a bachelor trip over the summer to boat on Lake Tahoe, attend the ACC Golf Championship, and explore South Lake Tahoe. This house was very accommodating to our group and had an amazing and spacious layout, as well as great amenities. The hosts were gracious enough to allow us to have an earlier check-in and a late check-out that worked with our groups travel plans. We will be looking to see if this place is open next time we come visit South Lake Tahoe!

Summary: Stayed here with my family of 12 people and had a wonderful stay in this home. We found that the kitchen was very well equipped and all the amenities like the pool table, bbq, and hot tub were very well maintained. Genuinely one of the nicest short term rentals I've been to in recent time. Would recommend this place! Fair warning if you come here during the summer there is no AC but the house stayed pretty cool during the heat wave and there were extra large fans in the laundry room which was much appreciated. Also the room with the two "Queen Beds" are actually Full/Double beds just a heads up.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House inside was beautiful, great location. Upon arrival noticed front and back were basically just all weeds . For such a large house there was a small patio out front broken furniture and no cushions. Small back patio with a few chairs so not able to fit many people outside. Host was very responsiveWhen we called about all pool cues being broken and they brought some to us.

Summary: Lots of overgrown weeds out in front of the front door and on the walkway by the hot tub, the weeds on the rear patio made it uncomfortable to use the spa, knee high weeds to walk through. No cushions for any of the outdoor furniture and the table on the deck was in disrepair. The house was perfect for our entire family to share and enjoy.

There were ample beds, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and supplies (pots/pans/dishware), with a gourmet oven/stove and plenty of counter space (we did a lot of cooking). Our kids really enjoyed playing in the snow in the backyard. The home was spacious and beautifully decorated. If there were one tiny complaint, it would be the sheets on the bed were a little uncomfortable, so sleep (at least in the individual queen beds) was not the greatest, but it was not where most of our time was spent, so trivial. We really enjoyed having the pool table and a TV in nearly every room was a true luxury. The house was clean and overall very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.
