Summary: Thank you Carole and Philippe for everything, especially considering the unfortunate events that happened in Nice, France! We arrived two days after the terrorist attack on Bastille Day. Our heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrendous event. Due to the circumstances, Carole and Philippe offered to pick us up at the train station and drove us back at the end of our holiday. We were so appreciative of this gesture. The second day of our trip, the hot water in our apartment was not working. We emailed Carole and Pilippe and they had a plumber in to fix the problem the next morning. They even dropped by fresh croissants for the family. They are an honest, lovely couple that went out of their way for us. The apartment was clean, stocked, free wifi included, a balcony and we loved having three bedrooms for our family of five. The location is really close to the beach and the kids loved swimming in the sea. Lots of amenities within one block (bakery, grocery store, restaurants, etc). We heard a hum of vehicle noise on the road behind the apartment but it never bothered us (and was probably busier than normal as the Promenade was closed to traffic part of the week which isn't normally the case). The fire department is across the street from the apartment and we did hear lots of rescue vehicles throughout the week (again, I'm sure this wouldn't be typical). There were 5 men (probably homeless) drinking alcohol out the side of the apartment almost every day but they seemed harmless and didn't seem to interact negatively with people walking by. They did leave a mess but the building caretakers cleaned it up and brought in a pressure washer one day. Even after the events that took place in Nice, we were able to pay our respects and enjoy our one week holiday. Thanks again Carole & Philippe!

Summary: "Owners: were incredibly helpful in regards to payment options, and they also provided plenty of tips for us regardin places to eat and things to do and see in (and outside of) Nice. Location: supermarket located almost directly below the apartment. A block away from the beach. Easy access by bus and on foot to all attractions. Amenities: washing machine was a tremendous asset since we were at the beach a lot. Free wifi. As a group of 5 we were very comfortable. Thank you for making our stay in Nice one of the best stops of our 10 week trip! :)"
