There is a propane fireplace which is beautiful and warm. The home is a 3 minute walk to a pub, market and library. It is 6 miles to Mountain Top Inn where there is a spa, horseback riding, swimming. There are 6 miles of walking trails out the front door. You can come and spend a weekend here and never get in your car. If you are looking for a drive we are close to the Maple Museum, The Marble Museum and 4 ski areas. There is a local market 1/4 of a mile with everything you could want! Fresh fish and meats and local produce and cheeses.

Summary: Our stay here was perfect. The carriage house was lovely, clean, spacious, wonderfully decorated, and comfortable. Everything we could have hoped for. Especially calming, was the view from the bedroom suite overlooking the property. Jill, the host/owner, was extremely accommodating, providing insight and recommendations as to local restaurants, and places of interest. Best host ever! The stay, although brief, was sensational! Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home.

Summary: Loved the place. Absolutely adorable remodel. For what it's worth, the bed is very comfortable! We lucked out with a big snow storm while visiting. Jill cleared the driveway for us! Saved me hours of labor and made it easy to get going for the day. Highly recommend this spot. Wonderful area inflation hasn't hit super hard(compared to where we live). Amazing food, possibly best wings I've ever had. Hill also gave great recommendations for food.

Summary: The cottage is very well kept. The kitchen has everything you need and can help you in creating one of the recipes from the cookbook stocked bookshelves. Whether staying in for a relaxing time next to the fireplace or hitting the slopes the cottage worked great for our stay!

Summary: We had the best time at Jill's carriage house! It is absolutely adorable and quintessentially "Vermont." Our group of four came up for a ski weekend, and staying at this property was perfect. It is located in an adorable small town just 20 mins from the mountain and is very comfortable, cute, and clean. Jill provided some great dinner recommendations, answered all of our questions via text, was easy and delightful to communicate with, etc! Can't say enough great things! We'll be back! Thank you Jill!

Summary: We come to Vermont every year, and were looking for a quiet, cozy place to stay for a few nights. The Carriage House was perfect for us. It's a beautiful, historic building that's in a central location that makes it easy to get where you want to go, but it's also set back in the property and gives you plenty of privacy. Jill was a great host! She greeted us when we arrived and made us feel right at home. The Carriage House was more than enough room for us (2 people), and had everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Thank you Jill for helping to make our Vermont vacation a great one!
