Summary: The Hotel was great. Very friendly staff. Very clean hotel. My only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because the mattress was hard as a rock.

Summary: The 1863 Inn of Gettysburg is an excellent choice. Centrally located, you can walk everywhere in town, and even to parts of the battlefield. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the free breakfast has lots of choices.

Summary: Room was spacious and comfortable, only issue was no washcloths. Plenty of towels, but they brought us washcloths as soon as we mentioned it.

Summary: This is the second time we’ve stayed. Perfect location. Clean. It’s a little dated in ways but so comfortable. Like staying at grandma’s place.

Summary: This hotels location was absolutely perfect. It sat on the edge of the battlefield. Everything is within walking distance. Morning breakfast was a buffet, every day they change the menu items. Food was good, lots of choices to choose from. Staff was always attentive, totally courteous and kind. Hotel and its rooms were clean. The hotel management keeps up the appearance. A very pleasant visit.

Summary: The room was ok, but the entrances are on the outside--you take the elevator, go outside to an outdoor walkway, and proceed to your room. The weather was ok when we were there, but that would be a negative during rain or cold, and walking along a pathway with a railing and a large drop would be uncomfortable if you were infirm in any way
