Positive: Friendly host, great breakfast, comfortable bed.

Negative: Only real negative was they moved us to a different room and asked if we would mind. We did not, assuring us this room had a tub and shower. Well, it was a claw foot tub with a shower ring to pull a curtain around you. I took a shower but it was quite awkward getting in and out and felt a bit unsafe with nothing to hold on to or give balance. I am 71. I told my wife not to shower as it would be too dangerous for her. That was the only negative.

Summary: We would stay there again if we were assured of a different shower arrangement

Positive: Loved our room, the owner was pleasant, helpful and present without being intrusive. Breakfast was great. We had interesting discussions with other guests. It was very pleasant and stress free from booking to check out.Great location in Monticello.

Negative: The only criticism I have is that the walkway from the parking area to the front porch entrance is broken concrete which creates a fall risk.
