Glanllyn Lodge is situated in scenic countryside and occupants have access to 16 acres of parkland with a meandering river, bordering on Wales' largest natural lake in the southern area of the Snowdonia National Park. the parkland is a touring caravan & camping site from Easter to mid October. There is a private launching area for sailing, canoeing and fishing. Watersports equipment hire available locally. There are plenty of local walks to suit all capabilities and the Aran, Arenig, Berwyn and Cader Idris mountain ranges are close by. The small market town of Bala is 3 miles away with plenty of small shops, restaurants, pubs, leisure centre and golf course. Other local attractions include, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, off-roading, quad-biking and narrow gauge railway. As the Lodge is situated on the border between North & Mid Wales, accessing many beauty spots and nice beaches is easy by car.

Summary: We arrived 2 days late and found the property manager to be most helpful with frequent communications. The welcome package was most appreciated after the car breaking down the day before and having to get a rental. The cottage was immaculate with everything we could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again. (Much better than the ancient static caravan in Cornwall last year with a broken window and a hole in the shower floor bodged with wall plaster with a general smell of mould.) At this cottage, I thought we would be able to hear lots of traffic going by, being close to the main road but I actually heard more cows lol. Very peaceful and luckily with my son's broken foot there was lots of things to watch on the TV. Short walk to the lake through the camp site. If I came again I would invest in boards and wet suits as it would be so easy. We looked into hiring at the place down the road but with his toe and the weather we couldn't do it. Local village has lots of eateries and shops. Took a mini train ride down the side of the lake which was cute. Travelled around snowdonia mostly, amazing sights all the way. Lovely place to stay.

Summary: Nice lodge with a cute little town nearby. We explored the area wich was just as beautiful. The only cons are that the oil-heater gives out a bad smell, but that can be overlooked.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Llanuwchilyn. Cottage was beautifully clean, had everything think you could possibly want. In good location for touring. Close to town of Bala with ample shops and good restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Summary: The cottage, the location and the weather combined to make this a perfect holiday for our family. If it had not already been booked we would have loved to extend our stay. The cottage was lovely, clean and well maintained. It was so well equiped it felt like home from home. There were a few little extras we did not expect, but did appreciate. We will definitely try to book again.

Summary: Lovely, spacious, well equipped cottage, clean and functional. Located just at the entrance to a caravan park (really quiet at night so no issues) with a play park opposite. Little shop on site and a short walk through the site to the lake edge. Great part of the lake with lots of space to sit (take some camping chairs with you!) . The lake is really shallow for quite a distance so perfect for kids to play in. Great place to stay - just a shame we couldn't bring our dog but would return.

Summary: Lodge was great had everything you needed and more. Wasn’t aware that accommodation was at the entrance of a campsite but was a blessing really as you had own access to the lake. Would go back

Summary: Had a lovely stay at the property with my husband and 2 children. The house is in a good location for the lake and biking into Bala (my 5 year old could manage). The house has pretty much everything you would need. The only downside was that it was a little noisy in the evening at weekends as the campsite was full and that the mattresses were really soft and springy. We all nearly rolled off several times. Overall a lovely holiday though
