Summary: We had a 2 night stay in the Red Caboose. Loved it. It was a great experience. It’s small but has a full bed. Nice bathroom. Nice kitchen. A small TV in the kitchen with a coach/twin bed to sit on. They did a great job renovating this caboose into a Tiny House. I probably wouldn’t stay there much more than a couple of nights as there’s no room for suitcases/anything else. BUT, it was a so much fun to stay in a Caboose. There is a cupalo where younger children can sleep but it is hot up there in the summer months. Glad we found this place! Highly recommend.

Summary: The caboose was the perfect one night getaway for our train-loving kids! It was just as described online, picturesque and fun. Except for a couple wasps and spiderwebs that had to be dealt with when we arrived, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We would definitely recommend it to friends.

Summary: As my husband said, we've stayed in properties, (ranging from budget to luxury), all over the world, but weve never stayed in a caboose before. Our 5.5 yo LOVED it, from the moment we pulled up. Every inch of the caboose is lovingly well thought out with authentic decor, efficiency and modern conveniences in mind. The grounds of the caboose are private, expansive and well kept. If you're used to outdoor living, the patio has EVERY cooking and "campfire" means available along with the firewood. Finally, you can't beat the location- within minutes of the Va Safari park, Natural bridge and Caverns at the natural bridge. Our son couldn't wait to get back to the caboose. To him, that was the point of our vacation. He was able to scoot up and down the cupola, and loved his train package and the railroad lights. To add: the owner is a dream to communicate with. Thank you for having and maintaining an awesome property! The breakfast basket was amazing.

Summary: As a Mom of 4 little boys, this sweet and accommodating caboose made our vacation one for the memory books! The boys were SO excited to be outdoors, make s’mores, turn on the train signal lights and sleep in the “watch tower” part of the train. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. I highly recommend this great host and VRBO to any parent!
