Hartford House is perfectly located for your home base while in the Atlanta area. We call Hartford House our "nice and comfy" home base.
We call it NICE because it has a few more details guests won't find in other rentals in the area, like a working gas fireplace, a roomy "sit and stay" front porch, a sunny and private side deck, and 3 sizes of beds and basically 3 levels of firmness. And TONS of pillows for even the most picky sleeper.
It's COMFY because guests are so comfortable they feel like they live here--and with just a few blocks to the train station and a few stops on the train (or a few miles if driving) from the airport, guests find the house to be the perfect home base for their business or leisure travel.
Come visit and you will see why guests love Hartford House. Less than 3 miles from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, only a few blocks to the MARTA Train Station, and so close to Atlanta's tourist sites - such as the world-famous aquarium and our amazing little zoo.
10 minutes to Fox Theatre and other Midtown points of interest, like the world-famous Piedmont Park. Less than 10 minutes to the zoo, the aquarium, and Downtown. A short ride to the MKL sites. 3 minutes to 3 of the best breweries (and distillery) in the city. Close to some great natural areas (Arabia Mountain, Cascade Springs, Sweetwater Creek, and relatively close to Lake Lanier & Stone Mountain).
Nestled under Atlanta's famous tree canopy, on a quiet street, you will have all the convenience of the city, while in a restful, and REAL, neighborhood.

Summary: We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hartford House. Laura was so helpful with information and suggestions to make the best of our time. Family spring break vacation and our first time to Atlanta. First time using VRBO and Laura made the experience the best. The home was welcoming and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here and would book again when we decided to explore more of Atlanta. Truly an excellent experience and great host!

Summary: Laura was an excellent hostess. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Laura maintained an open line of communication throughout the entire process and stay. She provided spot on recommendations to local eateries that satisfied even our picky eater. As this was our family’s first VRBO experience I would say she exhibited a heroic amount of patience with our questions and concerns. She replied quickly and kindly to what must have felt like playing 50 questions against her will. But we arrived feeling well informed and prepared to experience the city. We are extraordinarily thankful that our first VRBO experience was with the Hartford House and were would recommend it to anyone staying in Atlanta. Should we visit Atlanta again as a family we would 100% rebook. Thank you!

Summary: Laura's place is awesome! The location was convenient for our visit to GA Tech. The house is CLEAN, cozy, and well stocked. Plenty of room for five adults during this stay. The upstairs is a cool area, and my husband couldn't stop talking about how comfortable the bed was. There are two parks nearby to walk or jog which was a bonus. A short drive to downtown and the Cathedral of Christ the King for mass. Laura is super helpful with suggestions for groceries and eating out. She is also prompt in communicating and answering any questions you might have ahead of time or during your stay. The location might through you off a bit, but we felt safe the entire time and the neighbors are friendly. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Laura!

Summary: We were very pleased with the cleanliness, convenience and how the house was stocked. That’s the comment our son kept saying, Wow, I’ve never seen one more stocked. We definitely could have cooked/made anything on the menu! The host was very accommodating with information concerning our stay. Our beds were very comfortable.I would definitely recommend staying at Hartford House and when we are in the area again, we will plan to.

Summary: Laura’s home is so lovely and extremely comfortable. The living room has three comfortable armchairs and a couch, making a perfect hangout spot. Two bedrooms are on the first floor with a full bath and then one bedroom upstairs with two beds and another full bath. Just a note that the stairs leading upstairs are quite steep. We did not have any issues with them, but we were a group of able bodied early 30s folks, so just be aware! The beds were all super comfortable with plenty of warm bedding (we were there during a cold snap!). There were extra blankets available too. Lots of towels and washcloths too, which was nice. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it was extremely well stocked. Laura is very clear about setting expectations and ensuring you have an understanding of the neighborhood and area. While the main roads leading to the house had quite a few vacant buildings and storefronts, the residential streets were all well kept and clearly populated. On the street with the house and surrounding streets, we felt perfectly safe. A friend who lives in Atlanta cautioned us against staying in the area, but I am so glad we ended up staying here. The house is excellent and so comfortable, and I never felt any concern. Also, Laura provides tons of recommendations and guides which we found so useful when looking for restaurants and activities. Long story short - this is an awesome house and I would highly recommend staying here.

Summary: The property was just what we needed. It was in a good location and close to everything we needed it to be. If you like historic homes then this is the house for you. The property manager was attentive, friendly, readily available to answer questions, and went above and beyond thorough our stay. I’d stay again.

Summary: This house was perfect for our group of four. We had everything we needed and the house was lovely. It didn't feel like a rental, but like a home away from home. We loved the neighborhood! I wish it had been warmer, because I really wanted to sit on the front porch. We would definitely stay here again if in Atlanta.
