Adjacent to the ownerโ€™s home, its living room features a large wood burner for curling up in front of in the cosy evenings, and there is a large farmhouse style kitchen with a warming range cooker. The cottage is brimming with all the original details you would expect from a Cotswold cottage, and has a wonderfully restored wooden floor in the living room, as well as exposed stonework throughout the cottage. Summary: We had a lovely family holiday exploring the local area. With easy access to the M4 for trips to Bristol/Wales the location of this property worked really well for us. A great cottage to stay in, very friendly welcome including basic provisions to get us started, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen-diner which worked well for family meals and which was delightfully cool to come home to in the middle of a heatwave! Plenty of space for a family of four and definitely somewhere that we would highly recommend. The Salutation Inn down the road is well worth a visit for an evening meal and caters well for adults and children alike. Couldnโ€™t ask for better hosts - they gave the impression that nothing was ever too much trouble and their kindness and thoughtfulness ensured that we were able to have a lovely family holiday!

Summary: We arrived late after a delay at home ,but was met by the owner who lives nearby. Although in very quiet surroundings local shops and pubs are within quick driving distance . This is a rural cottage therefore we didn't expect to have shops on our door step. We were provided with eggs, butter, milk, bread , jam and cookies. The eggs had been laid by the owners' own chickens and were delicious as was the home made jam. This is a wonderful find for us as we like peace and tranquillity. Our dogs were very safe here. The only bad feature is a narrow staircase but I with a very bad back managed it you just need to be careful and steady using it. Thank you Jo this was just what we both needed.

Summary: Our family stayed at Gibb Cottage for a long weekend at the end of September. We had a lovely, warm welcome from the owner and were so pleased with the welcome goodies - the kids were especially excited about how the eggs were laid by hens with names! The cottage itself was cosy and comfortable, with an exciting box of toys for the kids. The garden is large and private - it was clear that care is taken in all of its features and landscaping. The large bathtub was fun for them and our son loved the record collection. Situated in a great location just a short drive to Castle Combe, we had a lovely day out. Thank you so much for a great weekend!

Summary: Enjoyed the cottage and the environs, though had to take dogs by car, for walking. Castle Combe is very charming and there are good National Trust properties nearby. Were there to meet up with friends, living locally. Fortunately we had dry and sunny days, in November. The cottage was lovely and warm, and just right for the two of us and the greyhounds. Very comfortable all round, and the stairs manageable. Would come again. Hosts very helpful.

Summary: A lovely birthday break for my husband. Jo was very friendly and gave us a wonderfully warm welcome as well as a very useful and unexpected welcome pack of fresh eggs, bread, butter, & jam. The kitchen was very large and well equipped with everything you needed. The whole cottage was warm, comfortable and cosy. The only negatives were the busy road at the front of the cottage, and the lack of a downstairs toilet.Otherwise we enjoyed everything about it & had a super few days.

Summary: Lovely cottage and very well equipped - everything you could possibly need. Only down side is that you need to get in car (not far though) to walk either with or without dog. Lovely outside space with table and chairs plus umbrella in a spacious garden.

Summary: A lovely cosy cottage in a good location, only a short drive to local pubs, shops and things to do. The owners are friendly and welcoming and on hand if needed. There was a lovely welcome package for us and our dogs which was really appreciated. We would definitely recommend Gibb Cottage and will return if we revisit the area.
