This detached family holiday house is situated in the rural crofting township of Inverasdale, on the west coast of Scotland, offering views over the Loch Ewe and the open countryside. The area has so much to offer, including mountain and low level walking routes, dramatic seascapes and a variety of wildlife, with sea eagles, pine marten and otters being popular. Historic sites close by include Cove, which has a memorial stone for the Russian convoy fleet that sailed from Loch Ewe to Murmansk during World War II and Badachro, where the Fairy Lochs are a fabulous walk, and notable as the crash site of an American World War II bomber. Shop, pub and restaurant, 4 miles.

Summary: We had a wonderful week in Poolewe. The house provides everything you need, the kitchen is very well equipped. WLAN was perfect for us and our host Hannah was really nice and friendly. If you look for some quiet days in a wonderful location, I can absolutely recommend this house.

Summary: A wonderful week - so peaceful and relaxing. Hannah's cottage is the perfect location for getting away from it all - and even when the weather wasn't so good, it was lovely to curl up in front of the open fire. A week just wasn't long enough. Summary: A lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage in a stunning location. We had the warmest of welcomes from Hannah, the owner, who regularly checked that we were ok with everything. We were surprised at how much there is to see and do in this beautiful area...i.e the gardens at Inverewe, Loch Ewe itself with its fascinating wartime history, plus lovely scenic walks and amazing wildlife. We were lucky to enjoy largely warm sunny weather during our 2week stay.

Summary: In a beautiful location this is a lovely cottage scrupulously clean and very comfortable. Lovely little well kept enclosed garden perfect to keep our dog in check. Nearby Firemore beach is definitely worth a visit.
